Hi friends — I’m Kate, the artist and creative heart behind Kate Sorensen Creative Co. 💕 I specialize in luxury calligraphy, engraving, and personalization for brand activations, celebrations, and the kinds of events that deserve those extra-special details. From live on-site calligraphy to custom engraved keepsakes, I love bringing beauty and meaning to life’s most memorable moments.

A little about me, beyond the fancy writing:
📚 I have a Master’s in Art History (forever inspired by timeless beauty).
🎶 I’ve been singing since I could talk — I always have a song running through my head, and often will be humming it without realizing!
🎀 I love bows on everything, pretty girly touches, and blending traditional antiques with modern style.
🍂 Fall and Christmas are my absolute favorites (give me cozy vibes + twinkle lights any day!).
🏡 I’m obsessed with home décor and making spaces feel romantic and welcoming.
👩‍💼 By day I work in the corporate world, but by night (and weekends!) I’m living my childhood dream of being an artist.
💞 My world is brightened by my husband, our sweet fur baby, and my wonderful family & friends

There may be snow on the ground, but the calendar says it's officially SPRING! 🌸

So as I write this, I am dreaming of warmer, sunnier days ahead, filled with springtime blooms and all things fresh and beautiful! And to distract myself from the current flurries outside my window I am immersing myself in all things floral, like these fragrance bottles hand painted with delicate blooms to add that extra special touch.

Because who doesn't enjoy a little bit of everyday luxury!

3 years 🎉

It's been 3 years of Kate Sorensen Creative Co, which I am pretty darn proud of! My journey with calligraphy started a bit further back than that though, I remember getting my first Calligraphy set as a birthday present, and I went through the photo albums and sure enough there it was - a photo of my 11th birthday with a Sheaffer Calligraphy set (Swipe for thoroughly 90's photographic evidence of said thrilled 11-year old). I loved it and went through quite a few Calligraphy phases over the years, and my skills and style continues to grow and evolve to this day!

I started my business on my own (like most of us do) but with the support of some incredible cheerleaders. But through it I've made so many connections and true friends, people who I never would have come across in my life otherwise. At a recent market I did, my Dad came to help me out (cute right?) and while telling him who various people were I caught myself marvelling at how many people I knew and had connected with - lovely, talented, kind, supportive people, who I feel so lucky to know. This community that I've found myself to be a part of, those in person and those who I may never have met, has been such a gift. And it is one that is still growing, which I feel so lucky about!

One of the reasons I love creating the things I do is that they mean something to people. Maybe it's something beautiful that brings someone joy just due to its aesthetic appeal, but often times it's deeper than that. It's a piece that marks a moment in life, sometimes a joyous moment and sometimes a hard one, and in creating these pieces I get a glimpse and to be a small part of those moments in your lives - and that is something that I truly love and feel honored to do.

Thank you to each and every one of you seeing this, for being here with me on this journey. It hasn't always been easy (things in life rarely are) but it's been a pretty cool experience, and I'm excited to see what the next 3 years (and more!) will bring!

Thank you for supporting me and allowing me to fulfill the dream of an 11-year old girl who got a Calligraphy set for her birthday and wanted to be an artist 🤍

Let's try this again shall we? November is here, and with that brings my own birthday, so we are going to be celebrating my birthday and biz Birthday together (because why not???)
