Porchetta Style Lechon Belly

Lechon is one of the most iconic dish that can be found at the centerpiece of many Filipino celebrations, and for good reasons. Imagine biting into that crispy crackling skin, then into that moist and flavorful meat, like it's heaven on Earth with every bite! And now you can enjoy this wonderful slab of succulence at the comfort of your own home!

This recipe just makes use of a few ingredients and very simple seasonings - this allows for the natural flavors of the pork to shine through. And while lechon is usually and classically paired with a liver-based sauce a.k.a. "pebre", I would encourage you to first try tasting this lechon as is before dipping it on any sauce or condiment. It really is that good, especially if you can purchase a really fresh and high quality pork belly, with a very good fat to meat ratio.
