“Unfortunately, Humanitarian aid isn’t going into Gaza just yet given the border is still closed. However, there’s plenty of students from Gaza who reside in Egypt and currently need support too, given that either they depended on money from their families in Gaza or their family is completely gone..
I am in the works with the Palestinian delegation on the ground in Egypt who’s connecting me with these students. One of the stories that I would like to support through this fundraiser is the story of two sisters residing in Egypt, who lost all their family in Gaza. On one side, they want to mourn their families, but on the other, they’re worrying about rent, living expenses and university expenses. In an effort to try to help them to the best of my ability, I am running the following fundraiser. “
Details:
- In order to accommodate more participation, we are only offering the flavours chocolate chip, nutella, and macadamia nut-white chocolate.
- Pickup between Nov 10-12, as of 3 pm on each day, unless otherwise noted.
- Pickup location - findlay creek (if you want to donate but are not able to pickup in findlay creek, message me and we can try to accommodate)
- Boxes of 12 are $24 (but you can donate more if you’re able to)
If you live outside of Ottawa and want to participate, we will also allow ghost orders. Ghost orders go to the Shepherds of Good Hope.
If you don’t want to order cookies/don’t have the means to but still want to participate, shoot me a DM, any amount counts, no Q’s asked.
100% of profits will go to those two sisters but depending on the amount, we may be able to help other students as well (I will post an update shared by .ott once the fundraiser is closed).
