WHO’S LOOKING FOR A BITTER MEDICINE THAT HEALS THE HEART?

From a sweet fruit to a bitter medicine that heals heart, mind and spirit, cacao is still at the chore identity and culture of the people of Guatemaya. Transformed in an alchemical process moving through traditional fermentation, sun-drying, and fire-roasted on the comal, peeled with reverence and grinded with care, Heart to Earth supports the regeneration of our connection to Earth through biocultural heritage preservation.

Cacao has many properties that help the awakening of our conscious awareness of our interconnectivity. As a symbiotic tree that grows in biodiverse lands where the songs of the ancestors are still woven into the very fabric of the communities, cacao remembers through us. Uplifting, joyful, compassionate medicine, she opens the door for us to transform our hearts and heal at our chore. Cacao is a bitter medicine with a sweetness that speak the language of love.

This year, Heart to Earth is honoured to partner with Oh Shala community and bring our ancestral cacao to UK. This partnership shows the care for life we hold and the reverence we feel for the people that produce our food, and maintain this spiritual connection to the Earth.

In the communities we work with in Lanquin — Cahabón, cacao is at the very chore of their every day life but also their identities, traditions, and cultures.

For us, we believe in a way to commune with medicine without extracting from the people who share this beverage of the Gods. This is why for us, the ceremony starts at the very base of the relationship we build with the farmers, women that transformed the cacao and the spiritual guardians of those ancient traditions.

We, as humans, hold a responsibility within the web of life. At Heart to Earth, we hold this prayer for degrowth — with a reduction roadmap that regenerate the land. For us, it means sharing craft ancestral cacao that truly benefits the land and holds the ancient codes — through traditional fermentation processes, fire-roasting and hand-peeling.

Our greater vision is to create an Earth school that vibrates with the biocultural heritage of the land and that empowers local communities into sovereignty. We believe in a local future and we hope this cacao inspires you to reconnect with the land that pulses underneath your feet.

We are sharing our first pre-order in North America in a limited quantity. We will not corrupt ourselves into converting this story into a capitalist business that is working to grow endlessly only to benefit a few. It has been shared as a sacred bridge between body, heart, spirit, community, and Earth.

Rich in magnesium, antioxidants, iron, and theobromine, cacao nourishes the body while offering a gentle, heart-centered energy that awakens clarity, creativity, and presence. But beyond its physical benefits, cacao carries something deeper — a remembrance.

A remembrance of slowness in a world of urgency.
Of reciprocity in a culture of extraction.
Of feeling instead of numbing.
Of gathering instead of isolation.
