Buffies babies are already 2 weeks old, I ended up giving her some from my incubator hatch as well. So she currently has 7 chicks she's looking after, and one freshly hatched duck too! I incubated duck eggs and only 1 ducky hatched, he's fitting right in with the chicks and Buffie doesn't mind at all.

Miss Buffy successfully hatched all the eggs we gave her! 2 Russian Pavlovskaya and 1 Cuckoo Maran/Barred Rock mix.
She seems to be a great mom so far. 💜

Enjoying a sink swim 🌊
The internet tells people Don't let your 2 week old ducklings swim, because they can't regulate their body temperature and they get tired easily and could drown.

But here ours are, enjoying a sink swim. Supervised. Short times in the water. And fully dried off after. They even get to hang out in a blanket on the couch after their swim session.

Lucky ducks 💦

We have some broody Silkies, so we've decided to give Miss Buff her own space and see if she can hatch us some chicks.

💥Meet the Flock Friday💥

Mr. Calico

Calico is a pure Russian Pavlovskaya rooster. We just got him last fall from a breeder and added him to our flock. Since we didn't raise him, he's a little more standoffish and flighty than our other roosters, but he is not mean.
He's got some beautiful coloring. Right now we have him in our main coop breeding our Pavlovskaya hens and we are getting some beautiful chicks out of him.
