Really excited for this one! ❤️👩🏽‍🍳

Tonight I get to spend some time in the kitchen with our youth for the first of two hands-on cooking classes!

We'll be getting them involved from start to finish and teaching them how to make food from scratch — something I'm really looking forward to sharing with them.

Cooking has given me so much over the years, so being able to pass some of that knowledge along to our youth and hopefully get them excited about being in the kitchen is pretty special.

We start tonight from 5–7 PM, and we'll be back again October 14!

Can't wait to see what these little chefs can do!

🩸🔪 A LITTLE SOMETHING EXTRA FOR SCREAM NIGHT! 🔪🩸

This Friday we’re watching SCREAM, and because I absolutely LOVE Halloween and any excuse to pull out the fake blood 😂… I thought we’d add something extra before the movie!
From 5:00–6:30 PM, I’ll be doing FREE SFX bloody wounds & gashes!

I’m sharing a few photos below of some of the SFX work I’ve done in the past. Some of these are pretty elaborate and take quite a bit of time, so the ones I’ll be doing Friday won’t be quite to that extent.

The very last photo is a test run I did today and is more along the lines of what I’ll be doing Friday — smaller bloody wounds and gashes on the cheek or forehead That one took me about 7 minutes, sooooo…

🩸 I’M OPENING 10 SPOTS! 🩸
Parents, if your child/teen wants one, please message me to reserve their spot. First come, first served — once all 10 spots are claimed, we’re full!

🕔 SFX MAKEUP: 5:00–6:30 PM ONLY

⚠️ A little heads-up for parents: I use gel fake blood, and there is always a chance it could get onto clothing and stain. Please have your child wear an older sweater/shirt or something you don’t mind potentially getting fake blood on.

Please also let me know when booking about any latex allergies or skin sensitivities.
And of course, this is completely FREE! ❤️
Just another fun little extra we're adding to our Spooky Movie Nights at Mi Sueño!

Come early, get bloodied up, and then settle in for SCREAM! 🔪☎️🩸

What a beautiful visit today. ❤️

The first time our friends from Toronto True Hope Church came to Mi Sueño, we had the privilege of putting together a special menu for them — including Korean tacos, birria and Jalapeño Chicken with Cowboy Candy. They loved it so much that they told us they would be back.

And today, they came back.

These beautiful people have been coming to our community and giving their time to our youth and children, and somewhere along the way, they’ve become more than visitors — they’ve become family.

I truly believe there’s something special about the people who cross our paths in life. Sometimes you meet people and you just know you were meant to cross paths. I’m so grateful ours crossed with theirs, because they are genuinely some of the kindest, warmest and most beautiful people you could ever meet.

Today was simply sitting together, visiting, laughing and enjoying each other’s company — and it was such a breath of fresh air.

They’ll be back to visit us again in November, and we already can’t wait.

🔥🍫 S’MORES DONATION REMINDER! 🍫🔥

Our first spooky movie night is happening THIS FRIDAY! 🎃 and we’re still looking for some help stocking our S’mores Station for the kids!

We’ll be accepting S’mores donations throughout the entire month of October, and right now we’re looking for:

● Chocolate
● Marshmallows
● Graham crackers

Our goal is to keep the s’mores FREE for all the kids at our October movie nights, so every child who comes out can grab a s’more and enjoy the fun around the fire.

Even one bag of marshmallows, one box of graham crackers or a package of chocolate helps us out!

Donations can be dropped off at Mi Sueño anytime throughout October.

Our first movie night is only a few days away — THIS FRIDAY! We can’t wait to kick off our spooky October nights!
