Flying Horses Farm We are a small farm near Perth, ON, raising free range/pastured chickens and turkeys. We are also beekeepers producing wildflower honey.

Have you heard the sound of a Queen bee piping before? This is the sound a Queen bee makes to let any other Queens know that she is ready to take over the colony. These two Queens are piping at each other as a warning. They have been put safely into their own hives to start producing new bees. 🐝

Only beekeepers are happy to see dandelions in the spring. They help to give bees a healthy start after this long winter...

Only beekeepers are happy to see dandelions in the spring. They help to give bees a healthy start after this long winter we have had. It will soon be time to start splitting hives and putting on the honey supers. 🐝🌞

It's that time of year again. 100 little chickens. I like to look back in 10 weeks and remember how they could all fit in this box. 🐔

The bees have been active this week bringing in pollen and going for orientation flights. Spring is finally here after a very long winter. Market season is starting soon with the first Perth Farmers' Market on May 9th.

Proud to say that our White honey placed 2nd for the 3rd year in a row at the OAAS District competition. 🐝🏆🎉
