Oops... forgot to remove a hive shim! 😀
The good news? It's a sure sign the hive is bursting with honey. We'll leave this beautiful bonus comb for the bees to enjoy over the winter and tidy it up in the spring.
It's incredible what these hardworking little bees can build in just one week! 🐝🍯✨

We have a limited number of pasture raised turkeys available for Thanksgiving or keep in the freezer until Christmas. Raised on our small scale farm. Provincially processed and inspected. Returned to us frozen from the processor. $5.00/lb. Pickup near Perth. Send me a message to reserve yours.

It was an early start today, with Jeff and I up at 330 a.m. loading turkeys in the rain. Not exactly the kind of morning anyone looks forward to, including the turkeys.
The good news is that we're almost at the end of the season. A little rest before we start preparing for next year's adventures.
We feel very fortunate to have such wonderful customers who return year after year for our free-range turkeys and chickens. Thank you for supporting local farming and making it all worthwhile.

We had a great day at the Lanark Harvest Festival! It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, enjoy the community spirit, and celebrate the harvest season. Thank you to everyone who came out and made the event such a success. 🍯 🐝

We're processing the final batches of late-summer honey. With nectar flows winding down, the bees are in full robbing mode and eager to reclaim every bit of honey they can find. 🍯🐝
