Had an Epicure party this past weekend, and it was amazing! A few good friends, some delicious appetizers (provided by me), a couple (or more) beverages, and it all equalled a great evening. It was small, informal and lots of fun! My friends listened to a small spiel about Epicure, stuffed their faces (sorry ladies), and caught up on each others lives.
I know how difficult it can be to plan a get together with friends. My friends and I struggle too... loads of texts back and forth, dates tossed out there, working around family, work, other commitments, but always worth it in the end (especially with these girls☺️). Girls night in can be so therapeutic… and then you can invite me, who will help foot the bill for the food, and make sure there is scrumptious food to eat🙌.

Being aware of what’s in your food, or what process your food has undergone before it gets to your dinner table is almost impossible, especially if you are eating on a budget. We try to do as much of our shopping at the Farmers Market (especially in the summer months) both because we want to eat as much locally grown food that we can, and to support others in our community… plus the kids always love visiting the market!

This is the story behind Epicure. There are so many things about this story that I can relate to. Eating wholesome food, teaching my children to have a healthy relationship with food (which around here does include chips and juice boxes on family game night), supporting each other, and caring for our planet.

Sylvie Rochette founded Epicure in 1997 with a passion to share the healthy eating solutions she had created for her family. Today, Sylvie and her daughter, CEO Amelia Warren, are uniting time-starved families that want to reconnect across the table to share good food, eat healthier, and live better.

These packets are one of the main products that drew me to Epicure. I really enjoy cooking, but there are many nights that I just don't have much time. With three young kids, who are all busy, and two that are into sports it can be really challenging to make nourishing meals some nights. When I came across these packets that contain all the spices I need to make healthy delicious meals, without the fillers, and are sodium and sugar conscious, I was intrigued. They include simple recipes on the packet, and of the ones that I have tried so far, they really are quick, easy and delicious.

The first one I tried was the Thai Stir-Fry, which included the recipe for the Thai Peanut Stir-Fry. Even though mine didn’t look nearly as pretty as the picture, it was incredibly delicious. These meal solutions include 3 for $10.00.

Why Epicure...

Recently, I have begun thinking a lot about different projects that I would enjoy undertaking. The past six and a half years my life has revolved around growing, raising and keeping alive 3 beautiful little monsters ( I use this term with so much love). This has definitely been the most amazing and the most challenging period of my life. A year ago now, my oldest son began school, and now this past September, my daughter began kindergarten, and my youngest son began nursery school part-time. So, I have found myself to have a bit of time and wanting to do something new. I enjoy being at home, getting my kids on and off the bus, and spending as much time with my youngest as I can during the day, so I figured I would try an at home business, as much for the challenge and learning, as the added income. I looked at a lot of different direct sales businesses, but Epicure stood out to me. I spend a good bit of my time meal planning, grocery shopping, meal prepping, and cooking (since my kids, like most young kids, never seem to stop eating!), and desperately trying to ensure that some of what they are eating is nutritious. None of this is easy and it is definitely time consuming. When I began browsing the Epicure website I found that the company strives to use wholesome ingredients in their products, their recipes include fresh, whole, foods, and they promote home cooking. I felt like I could get behind selling these products and sharing their story. However, in my humble opinion, unless it tastes good and my family and I are actually going to eat it, it really didn’t matter how great these products sounded. So, I ordered a couple of products to try out and to use my family as guinea pigs! I ordered the Tutti Fruity Whole Food Topper, the Chicken Broth, and the Thai Stir Fry seasoning. To keep it short, I was really impressed with the flavour of the meals, the ease of preparing it, and the overall quality. Since trying these products, I have tried a few other ones, and they have all been delicious, so far. I went ahead and ordered the business kit so I could try more of their products, I could share them with my friends and family, and hopefully with new friends that I will meet along the way!
