I love the breed so much ❤️ Used to be Lucky Jewel Katahdins when I was a teenager. Got out of registered Katahdin sheep in 2003, and very excited to start back up again. Over 11 years experience with the breed and used to do a lot of trade shows and sheep shows to promote the breed. Enjoyed every minute of it. Would love to talk to any producers who have questions or advise to get back into them

again. My first ewe, Sadie, is off of a ewe named Jewel. It all started with Jewel. Thus the name Jewels Legacy Katahdins!! Here’s to new beginnings.

Due to tragic circumstances for my family that happened last night I have to head to Alberta tomorrow so I did my breeding groups today instead of when they were scheduled for Saturday. Kalia can’t keep a cidr in too save her life but she’s with north wind and hope she cycles as I’ll leave them in for prob a full cycle but I just can’t have her lambing end of Jan cause we’ll be gone. I just hope he’ll mark her or she’ll just go with clean up with Jax and that cross gave me “made ya look” so I’d be ok with that too. They aren’t cycling yet, but I guess he’s getting excited and jumping on their backs already.

I’m crossing North Wind too New Legacy’s twin and half sisters (off Jag) I think I’m gonna get some frame. I can’t wait to cross him with some shorter girls to add some frame to their lambs. I do like tall but I think these ones are gonna be TALL lol. North wind has matured taller than new look which is the last picture but the length of loin on all these ram will add so much too my flock! Can’t wait too see some more babies. New look will be going to his new home end of Aug as he was pre sold last year but I wanted another breeding from him as he’s pizzazz’s dad and she’s so gorgeous

I didn’t get a good pic of PTO with his rossette but that’s ok and it’s not the best pic of him but she said he was beautiful and thick and will make nice babies.
