One of the most memorable meals from our Cabo trip wasn’t at a fancy restaurant… it was getting to enjoy a seafood feast made with freshly caught fish at Captain Tony's 🥹🎣❤️.

And even better — it was my first time trying Wahoo 👀🐟.

We had it prepared two ways and both were SO good for completely different reasons. The sashimi version was buttery, refreshing, and topped with citrus, onion, avocado, and a little kick 🌶️🍊. Super fresh and one of those dishes where you just keep reaching for another bite.

Then there was the deep fried Wahoo 😍 Golden, crispy, and crunchy on the outside while still staying flaky and tender inside. Such a fun side-by-side way to experience the same fish.

Huge thank you to Xavier and Vicky for sharing the fish they caught and making this such a special Cabo memory ❤️🇲🇽 Definitely one of those travel meals we’ll be talking about long after the trip.

If you ever get the chance to try freshly caught fish in Cabo… absolutely do it 🎣☀️.

One of the last things I expected to find in Cabo was a Canadian-owned diner serving up comfort food that felt like a little taste of home 🇨🇦❤️

We stopped by Mikey’s Diner for lunch and it instantly gave off that casual, laid-back diner vibe. Sometimes after a few days of tacos and seafood, a classic burger and fries just hits the spot 😂🍔🍟

The burger was simple and satisfying with a juicy patty, crisp lettuce, and a soft sesame seed bun, served with a generous helping of golden fries. Nothing fancy — just good comfort food done right 😍

We also ordered the Texas Style Chili 🌶️🥣, which came bubbling hot and topped with plenty of melted cheese. Rich, hearty, and perfect for sharing alongside the burger.

For drinks, we couldn’t resist ordering a Caesar and a margarita 🍹😂. One reminded us of home, while the other reminded us we were still on vacation.

If you’re looking for a casual lunch spot in Cabo with friendly service, comfort food, and a little Canadian connection under the Mexican sun ☀️🌴, Mikey’s Diner is worth a visit.

Brunch at Mamas Royal Cafe was exactly the kind of Cabo morning I needed 😂🍳☕🌴

This place had such a fun and cozy atmosphere with the colourful tablecloths, fresh fruit, tasty iced coffee, and giant breakfast plates that definitely wake you up 😮‍💨✨

The El Arco Benedict was super rich and satisfying with creamy hollandaise, perfectly poached eggs, avocado, and crispy potatoes on the side 🍳🥑🥔. Definitely one of those plates that disappears faster than expected 😂

We also tried the huevos con chorizo and WOW 😍🌶️ Packed with flavour, hearty, savoury, and served with eggs, beans, guac, and fresh fruit on the side. The iced coffees were also absolutely necessary in the Cabo heat 🧊☕

Definitely one of those brunch spots that feels relaxing and comforting while still giving full vacation energy 🌴✨

Seize the day? More like SEAS the plate 😂🌊🐟.

Had dinner at Solomons Landing Los Cabos in Cabo San Lucas and the vibes were immaculate ✨🌴. Waterfront views, warm night breeze, live music energy, and seafood that tasted super fresh.

The whole fried snapper came out sizzling and HUGE 😮‍💨🐟. Crispy skin, flaky meat, lemon squeezed over top, with rice and veggies on the side made this such a satisfying meal. Also ordered the chicken pappardelle which was surprisingly delicious and super comforting 🍗🧀.

The ceviche was bright, citrusy, refreshing, and packed with fresh seafood 🥑🍋🌶️. Perfect with drinks while people watching along the marina.

The Caesar salad though… in my opinion it was kinda sad 😂🥗. They basically used like 1/8 of an egg yolk and the rest just looked wasted LOL.

And speaking of drinks… that red cocktail was dangerously easy to sip 😂🍹. Definitely one of those spots that gives you the full Cabo vacation dinner feel 🌴✨.

Surprise appearance by A!! Heh.

Bao down… these Chinese burgers were BUN-believably good 😂🥟🔥.

Popped by the Costco Road Show and these crispy handheld bites disappeared WAY too fast 😮‍💨✨. Super flaky on the outside, packed with juicy filling on the inside, and honestly so easy to make at home.

Best part? They’re ready in less than 15 minutes in the air fryer ⏲️🙌. Crispy, golden, and perfect for those lazy snack cravings or quick meals.

I’m not trying to be sili… but this meal was straight 🔥😂

Stopped by Jav's Kaldero Authentic Filipino Cuisine and this spread was giving full comfort food vibes 🇵🇭🍽️. From the rice topped with that garlicky savoury crunch, to the saucy, flavour-packed mains — every bite just hits different.

That sizzling-style dish had that perfect balance of salty, savoury, and slightly sweet, especially with the drizzle on top and fresh green onions 😮‍💨✨. And the longanisa? Sweet, juicy, and packed with flavour — even better dipped in that sauce on the side 🤤👌.

Don’t sleep on the extras either — fried egg, spring roll, fresh veggies — it all comes together into a plate that’s hearty, satisfying, and feels like a homemade meal done right 💛.

When it comes to BBQ, Grizzly BBQ smoke the competition - literally! (Congrats!!)

2nd annual Halal Ribfest - North American Tour was a hit this year! It started on June 21 in Virginia and ended in Vancouver on August 30 long weekend (they had 2 more stops but this year, it unfortunately got cancelled - sorry Cali & Texas - you’re missing out 😭!)

Their event is inclusive to all - including kids (they had a bouncy castle)! The one thing I love about Halal Ribfest is that it gives a chance for those cannot have pork due to religious reasons to actually feel the vibes of a RIBFEST! I missed out on the Port Moody one this year, so Halal Ribfest was my next go to 🤤. I must say though, this year’s event seemed a bit smaller than last year. Nevertheless, it was a blast!

This year I tried Grizzly BBQ’s combo one and I can definitely see why they won the competition! Combo one had 1/2 chicken 🐓, 1/2lb beef brisket 🐄, and 2 sides, which I chose the baked beans and the corn bread! The bbq sauce, oh my god, it was love! Too bad they sold out by the time I got there 🥺. The corn bread was soft and fluffy as well! I also got the birrira tacos! Definitely could have used a little bit more salt in my opinion, but nevertheless, it hit the spot!

Here’s to another year with Halal Ribfest!!

I’m not trying to be RAMEN-tic… but this bowl definitely stole a piece of my heart 🍜😂

Stopped by KINTON RAMEN and this bowl hit the spot the way a good ramen should. Rich, comforting broth, springy noodles, and that perfectly seared slice of chashu with a little kick from the jalapeños and the jalapeño paste 🔥✨. Simple, satisfying, and exactly the kind of bowl you crave on a chilly day.

One thing I also learned while chatting there — they actually aim to get the ramen out to customers within about 15 minutes, which explains why it always arrives hot and ready to dive into 😮‍💨🍜.

And a special shoutout to Emily at this location — she’s incredibly hospitable every time I visit. Friendly, welcoming, and one of those people who just makes the whole dining experience feel extra warm and comfortable 🫶.

Fast, comforting, and consistently satisfying — this bowl definitely earns a spot on the Coquitlam ramen rotation 🍜✨.

Is it hot in here, or is it just you 🥵🌶️?

Have you ever tried a noodle burger before 🍜🍔? This is my first time trying it at and I was mind blown! I stepped out of my comfort zone this time and gave some other dishes a try. They specialize in veg and non-veg dishes and my new favourite, Indian street food.

Everything is made from scratch in house and also made with so much love and passion from chef Danial Punni. I absolutely fell in love with baand kulcha 😍 definitely something I would order again next time I visit.

They recently re-instated their dine in after renovations and it was an absolutely amazing experience. A hidden gem if you’re craving authentic Indian food!

Hey Best-TEA, wanna grab some Hey Tea with me 😉?

We are so lucky to have .ca to open their first their first Canadian store in Burnaby, BC! They first opened in 2012 in the Guangdong Province of China, with their first cup of Cheese Tea 🧀🍵🧋. They use real ingredients to make these “new-style tea” drinks.

I absolutely love their Very Green Grape Crystal 💚🍇. I love how there’s real fresh green grapes in there, giving you a different texture to munch on along with the crystal pearls. I’ve heard so many good things about their mango drinks too, but I have yet to try it. Their drinks are so refreshing, I definitely need to stop by the summer to cure the heat and the thirst!

Worth the hype in my opinion 🤩! What would you order first?
