Last weekend we really enjoyed our time on the Fort Battleford plant walk. Although Carol Paskemin was unable to lead the walk, Troy Hundt was kind enough to step in and share his knowledge with us. I particularly enjoyed learning more about the native grasses.

And, in a funny small-world moment, it turns out I might have taught Troy Tae Kwon Do 🥋 way back in the day!

Come out to Fort Battleford for a Medicine Walk. 🌱

Learn how prairie plants are used in traditional ways for food and medicine. This walk will be led by Carol Paskemin, a local Cree interpreter, at 1:00pm on August 22, 2026.
