That means I know exactly where this tallow comes from — I harvest it myself from our own home-grown animals.

Shop’s closed for summer… but somebody’s still got a full-time job.
Caught my husband on his knees in the pasture, deep in negotiations with the calves. (Pretty sure they won.) These little ones get all the grass, all the room to zoom, and the occasional grown man who forgets he’s supposed to be working.
That’s how we raise ‘em at The Butcher’s Barn happy, spoiled, and ready to become the best beef around.
We’ll see you when the doors open again. Until then, the calves (and their favorite human) say hi.

Even while we’re closed for the summer, the real work continues out on pasture.
This mama and her calf are living the way cattle should. On green grass, with room to roam. Pasture-raised beef is different for a reason:
• Higher in omega-3s and CLA
• More vitamin E and natural antioxidants
• A better omega-6 to omega-3 balance
• Raised with space to express natural behaviors
Healthy animals on real pasture produce better meat. That’s the standard we stand behind at The Butcher’s Barn.

Happy Belated Father's Day from Butcher's Barn! 🐮❤️

We hope all the amazing dads out there had a wonderful day yesterday filled with family, good food, and a little relaxation!

Yesterday we celebrated the dad in our life the best way we know how ! With great food, farm life, and quality time together.

From the perfectly cooked picanha we grilled up (juicy, flavorful, and gone in no time!) to watching Dad milk a cow for her calf, and soaking up the simple joy of farm animals and happy kids running around… it was a day that reminded us what really matters.

Fathers teach us to work hard, provide well, and enjoy the good things in life. Like a great cut of meat shared around the table.

Thank you to every dad, grandpa, stepdad, and father figure who shows up every single day. We’re proud to serve the families who feed theirs with the same care and quality.

🌱 Regenerative Agriculture in Action: Chicken Tractors Reviving Low-Producing Pasture!
We’re big believers in letting nature do the heavy lifting. Our meat birds in chicken tractors are out there turning tired, low-output pasture into thriving, fertile ground again.
As the tractors move across the land, the birds:
Scratch and aerate the soil (natural tillage)
Deposit nutrient-rich manure (free organic fertilizer)
Control insects and weeds
Spread seeds and stimulate regrowth
The result? Healthier soil biology, better water retention, increased grass productivity, and birds that live their best outdoor lives. No synthetic inputs neede, just chickens doing what they do best.
This is regenerative ag at its simplest and most effective: closing the loop, building soil, and producing great meat while restoring the land for the long haul.
