Community Update – Delivery Fee Structure
After carefully working out the costs — including the commercial truck fuel, driver’s full-day work (driving to Terrace, picking up orders, organizing, and home deliveries) — we’ve set a flat $35 delivery fee per cart/order.
That means one regular shopping cart or online order (like a Walmart cart) = one $35 delivery fee to your doorstep in Prince Rupert.
We kindly ask customers to support keeping the service fair for everyone by not combining multiple households or bulk orders under one fee. This small gesture helps cover the driver’s time and fuel so RupertXpress can continue operating all year round — rain, snow, or shine.
The online website and app are being provided free by KSYEN Digital, who came forward to make sure this service is available for our community. We’re also working on the authorization process with Canadian Tire and Wholesale Club so those stores can be added soon.
For larger orders, furniture, or appliances, delivery will be by custom quote, since those require more time, labour, and transportation costs.
