Pear season brings back such beautiful memories… 🍐

I miss my garden in Ukraine so much, especially the trees I grew from tiny saplings.

Every autumn, I would harvest my pears, carefully sort them, and put them away for storage. I still remember the simple joy of holding each pear in my hands.

Soon, they would turn golden, become wonderfully juicy, and taste absolutely delicious.

Some memories are as sweet as the fruit itself. ❤️

🫜 Famous around the world, harder to find close to home — have YOU tasted Ukrainian BORSCH?

One of Ukraine’s most beloved dishes, borsch is so deeply rooted in our culture that UNESCO recognizes the tradition of Ukrainian borsch cooking as intangible cultural heritage 💙💛

Ours is rich, hearty, and full of flavour: beets, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, sweet peppers, tomatoes, and more, simmered in beef broth we make ourselves from scratch — with a generous helping of beef in every portion.

Already love borsch and miss its comforting flavour? Or have you heard of it but never tried it? This is your chance to taste it and fall in love! ❤️

We recently added borsch to our menu, and we’re excited to spread the word. We’re proud to share this part of our culture through Ukrainian Soul Roots, prepared to our own standards of flavour and quality — making a taste of Ukraine available to you.

🫜 Our frozen borsch is available at the markets we attend and can also be ordered online.

🫜 Frozen beef borsch: $10 per 14 oz cup.

THIS SATURDAY, we’re bringing plenty to Taste of the Valley Market in Petawawa! Pre-ordering is a great way to reserve yours: we’re travelling from Renfrew and can only bring a limited quantity.
