Solid limestone or hollow acrylic bathtubs? 🛁

Victoria + Albert tubs are cast from solid limestone with a naturally polished finish. Step into one and it feels grounded and sturdy, the way a spa tub should. Hollow acrylic tubs flex a little underfoot, which can cause creaks and leave you feeling like nothing solid is underneath you.

The bigger difference shows up years later. If a limestone tub gets scratched or worn, you can hand polish it back to like new without specialists or special equipment. Acrylic can't be refinished nearly as easily.

Not All Shower Doors Are Built the Same 🚿 Fleurco at Home Comfort Centre

Fleurco offers a full range of prefab shower doors and shower shields, including walk-in and walk-through configurations. Sliding doors come in standard sizes from 48 up to 72 inches, while pivot doors use a magnetic locking system instead of a rubber seal, so the door still seals tight without relying on a strip that wears out over time. You can customize glass thickness at 8, 10, or 12mm, choose framed or frameless designs, pick your height, and add a single return panel on either side depending on your layout.

On top of all the customizations, every glass also comes with Fleurco's Microtek coating, which repels water and makes it much easier to keep soap scum, calcium, and mineral buildup off the glass.

Toto's New Aurora Toilet Is Redefining How a Toilet Flushes ✨

The Aurora runs on Toto's brand new INTEGRAVITY System, a gravity driven flush engine exclusive to this collection. It uses a dual tank, dual valve design that sequences the rim wash and siphon jet together, rinsing the bowl 5 times longer than a conventional toilet while still using just 1.28 gallons per flush. What to Actually Check Before Buying a Kitchen Faucet 🚿

Style matters more than most people think. Pull out faucets tend to work better for wider or larger sinks since they reach the edges more easily, while pull down faucets can still get the job done but sometimes need a bit more of a stretch into the corners.

Handle clearance is another one people miss. Some handles stop at a perpendicular angle to the counter, while others swing back further and can actually hit your backsplash. Height matters too, especially with high arc faucets, since a tall spout can interfere with an inward opening window if you're not careful.

And don't forget finish. Matching or coordinating your faucet with your cabinet hardware pulls the whole kitchen together, and if you can't decide between two finishes, two-tone faucets let you have both.

Toilet Won't Stop Running? 🚽Here are 2 things you need to check!

A constantly running toilet almost always comes down to one of two parts: a leaking flush flapper or a malfunctioning fill valve. The flapper can wear out over time and stop sealing properly, while a faulty fill valve keeps refilling the tank, sending water overflowing into the tube that leads to the bowl instead of onto your floor.

Want to know which one's the culprit? Open the tank and check the water level. If water is leaking into the bowl but the level sits below the top of the overflow tube, that points to the flapper. Since both parts wear out around the same time anyway, it's usually worth replacing them together so you're not back in there again in a few months.

Replacing an Old Widespread Faucet? Here's What You Need to Know First 🚰

Widespread faucets generally come in two styles: an 8 inch widespread, measured center to center, and a 4 inch widespread. The 4 inch version, usually a three hole setup with a pull out base, was common on older models but has been slowly phased out as styles shift toward single hole designs.

If you're replacing an old 4 inch widespread faucet, you don't need to match the old hole pattern. A 6 inch plate covers the existing holes, so you can install almost any single hole faucet you want instead.
