Storage & shelf life 🍃
Keep your jar frozen until you’re ready to enjoy it — it’ll last up to 6 months in the freezer. When you’re ready, thaw overnight in the fridge and enjoy within 3–4 weeks. Always use a clean spoon to keep it fresh! 🥄

Five years ago, a dad and his daughter filled their first jars together. This Father’s Day, we’re still stirring — just with a few more miles on us. 💚

Miss Chen Kaya started in our kitchen during COVID, with Dad by my side teaching me that food is how we share who we are. Every jar since has carried that with it.

After selling out 135 jars in my first batch, I’m opening pre-orders for the next round of Miss Chen Kaya!

For those who are new here, I’m Izzy. I started Miss Chen Kaya when I was 12 years old to save up for a puppy. Since then, this little jam business has helped me chase some pretty big dreams. Today, I’m a competitive wrestler and every jar sold helps fund my training, travel, and tournaments.

This summer is especially exciting. I recently won gold at the 2026 Canadian World Team Trials and am now one step closer to representing Canada at the World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan this July. 🇨🇦

My dad, Chef Alex Chen, and I make each batch using our family recipe with fresh pandan leaves, coconut milk, and eggs. No preservatives, just homemade kaya made with love.

I've been off the grid for a year — heads down, grinding. And it paid off. 🇨🇦

In May I traveled to Montreal and came home as the 2026 Canadian World Team Trials gold medalist. I'm now a step away from representing Canada at the World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan this July — and I need my community behind me.

For those who don't know my story — I'm Izzy. I'm 17, I wrestle at 49kg, and when I couldn't find enough training partners, I started a wrestling program at my school. That program has now grown to five high schools across Richmond. I'm a member of Canada's Generation 2026 Youth Leadership Council and this year the City of Richmond honoured me with the U-ROC Youth Leadership Award.

None of that stops the bills from coming. Getting to the world stage takes everything — camps, travel, gear, tournament fees. I'm raising $10,000 to fund my full competitive season and I'm asking for your help.
