Officially announcing… this summer’s Paella & Pintxos Pop Up at our kitchen shop in Saanichton! ➡️ Labour Day Monday, 7th September from 2pm! Join us for a street market style afternoon as M plates his gorgeously rustic traditional paella outside of our sweet little shop on the hill - tickets include pintxos, traditional paella mixta, pan, postre + Italian soda! It is a super fun super chill day - bring folding tables, chairs and a tablecloth as you wish or enjoy the view across Brentwood Bay from the benches around the complex! 🥰

The 𝒸𝒶𝓅𝓇𝑒𝓈𝑒 is calling… 🍅🤍🌿 from fresh mozzarella di bufala and bocconcini to fior di latte and of course, that gorgeous puglian burrata - all are in the coolers at both our kitchen and our village shop!

An uber local, lusciously delicious, and super peak seasonal surprise addition to M’s ‘chef select’ sandwich hit the menu late this afternoon! Gorgeous green figs grown just down the road from our kitchen on the peninsula… 🤍 a dreamy combination of sweet + savoury with a spicy kick: coppa&prosciutto&mozza&freshfigs&hotitalianhoney+++

𝒹𝑜𝓂𝒶𝓃𝒾… in addition to M’s focaccia classics of rosemary & confit garlic/rosemary, this beautiful bread is also on the menu - gorgeous green gordal olives from Spain with fresh tomato & herbs. Available from 11am at both of our sweet shops until sold out :) !

It was a busy yet blustery start to the long weekend with an extra focaccia batch for both of our shops! If you missed the Saturday fresh bake today, you can find M’s classic rosemary in our freezer at both the kitchen (Tues-Sat) and at our Cadboro village shop (Weds-Sun) including tomorrow - we’re open 11am-5pm :) ~ next weekend’s fresh bake pre-orders will be avail on our website this forthcoming Tues evening!

Introducing… the 𝓆𝓊𝒾𝒸𝑜 and its brand new spicy cousin, the 𝓅𝒾𝒸𝒶𝓆𝓊𝒾𝒸𝑜… These are simply the very VERY best, most ginormous, moreishly good, corn kernels you will ever try, hands down - yes, that is fact! Ubiquitous in Spain (and regions of South America), they are light and crunchy and AMAZING and officially the tapas you never knew you needed in your life, until you try one… and continue on from there ;) The QUICO - simply with salt. The PICAQUICO has a kick - with cayenne and paprika.

A full restock of your house made favourites has arrived at both our Kitchen Shop in Saanichton and our Italian Pantry in Cadboro Bay Village today! M’s hand rolled gnocchi + that beautiful bolognese, always made with Michell's Farm born and raised beef, are awaiting you (a classic pairing too!) + SO MUCH NEW CHEESE! Pop on to our stories for the formaggio 🧀😊💛 Both shops open at 10am tomorrow.
