We had Chantal Charette at the farm last week to classify the herd, and earlier in the year John Beerwort for the new classification 2 month round schedule for large herds. We are getting used to the smaller rounds; it is a nice option provided by Holstein Canada!! Rather than spam your feed, we will just highlight every 4 months like we typically do!

The ultimate highlight was by far our herd star, BOKMA A2P2 DIXIE.

She has become our first ever 94 point cow at BFL!!!

She is the highest scored A2P2 in the world!!

We are excited for her flush tomorrow to BOKMA LEVEL P, and we plan to continue flushing her, your inquiries are always welcomed!

Not only does she score 94 pts on her 3rd calf with a 95 pt mammary system, she also gives 63 liters (yesterday) of 5.2 % fat and 3.8 % protein milk, the complete total package!

Forgot to put Bull 17 genomics up, here they are!

With the buzz of classification just past, we shift our focus to the big sale coming up this week. The Fun at the Falls will not be a sale to miss!

We were able to get Vector Bokma Benson Latka out to get a good look at her. She is impressive from every angle!!! A big time full age June calf for next year!!

The First picture should get your attention, could pass as her mother's clone!! From markings, to her genetic profile, to the clean bone and beautiful rear view leg profile.... Another max score animal in the making?? They are max scored cows of the dams on both sides of the pedigree! We will let your imagination wander...

Full sister was sold to Semex to be a donor due to her elite combination of milk and type, this one can do the same and even more.....a multi-dimensional opportunity for sure!

She can show, she can sell embryos, she can make bulls....not every day you find that package, from one of the best pedigrees ever to boot!!

It was time to score the herd again with classifier Jill Nelson, just a great morning discussing the breed and where we are headed. Always one of the highlights we find when classifying the cows is the discussion of what the classifier is seeing out there!

Bokma Farms is now home to the highest classified A2P2 in the world!

Our girl BOKMA A2P2 DIXIE scored 92 points with a 95 point mammary sytem!! We feel her story is just getting started, with more points in store!

There were also 26 VG cows - - - 17 were new VG, and 9 VG moving up to 87 or 88 points.

The sire story of the day was definitely Alcove and his sons that have worked so well in our herd (Lugnut, Mercy, Almamater, and hopefully Anahita in the future!). Our group of 13 Alcove heifers average 47 L with great components!! Real $ Makers!

In the same breath the most disappointing sire was Bullseye, just not what we were expecting from a conformation standpoint, especially the udder scores. Positive side is that they do seem to milk well.
