Good morning all!!! It's spooky Mug season... and let me tell you, I have a collection 🤣😅

Does anyone else have a mug addiction?

Well, it's time. I need new coop boots. My favorite old ones have a large hole in them and my feet are soaked most mornings by the time I am done...

Where does everyone get their boot from?!
Any recommendations on a pair that are good but wont break the bank?

Happy to report there were ZERO deaths on the farm last night. First night in 8 that there was none. I think I may actually sleep tonight

Does anyone close to me have a chicken plucker I could borrow? Need to process 12 birds.

More terrible news 😭😭😭So as many of you know, we have been having an issue with a predator of some kind, originally I thought racoon, then we thought weasel from the way it's Unaliving my birds.... well Shane spent hours last night securing the coops and filling any holes we could find... this morning I checked each coop. All 7 coops were fine... I go to the Peacock Palace and didn't the thing absolutely destroy one of my female peahens. And she wasn't small... how the F**K is this happening?! What is killing my birds?!

Could a weasel really kill a 2 year old peahen?
I feel so bad, I feel like I'm failing my birds. I feel like they aren't safe at all.

We are staying up all night if we have to tonight to hopefully find this thing and get rid of it.

F***g, what a terrible morning :(
It takes a lot to get my to cry and let me tell you, I ugly cried this morning when I found her.

Well whatever animal that got into my grow out coop and killed 10 birds, has now made it's way through my entire flock of Speckled Sussex hens and our beautiful roo!!! I am devastated and so angry right now!!!! I don't understand where or how it's getting in. I am so worried about all my other birds and coops. But I am absolutely gutted that I've lost all my speckled sussex :(

Well it's a sad day here at the Homestead, something got into my growout coop last night. I lost 10 beautiful birds :(.
Hubby is now down there tearing things apart and doing some coop renovations. Still hurts to lose some of my girls I have been working so hard on with my breeding program. I lost all of my blue laced red girls and they were from another breeder so I was excited to be adding new genetics to that coop.
