Mara community, we’re excited to announce that our little self-serve farm stand is now open right on the Rail Trail!

Stop by for organic drink options, homemade organic cookies (this week’s flavors are carrot and oatmeal), our farm-made preserves crafted with organic vegetables, vegetable scrubs, and organic apples for a healthy snack on the go.

We’re also happy to feature a unique addition from our neighbor—a collection of authentic Mara railway spikes. Take one home as a souvenir, use it in a creative project, or simply enjoy a small piece of local history.

The stand is self-serve and located outdoors by the road, so we’re keeping things simple and easy for everyone.

Looking for fresh organic vegetables and produce?

Visit our main farm store, open daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

This year, we are trying so many new things on the farm, and we are so grateful to our community for supporting all these changes with such warmth and excitement.

We opened our farm for workshops, events, and visits because we want people to see how their food is grown and truly be part of the experience. Over the season, we are hosting events with local professionals and talented community members — from herbal tea making to flower arranging, cooking, gardening, and more.

✨ Coming up this summer and fall:

🌿 June 6 — Lunch & Learn: Garlic Scapes
We’ll make infused garlic scape salt together and taste delicious dishes made with garlic salt.

🌸 June 20th - Flower Arranging Workshop
Learn how to arrange peonies and organize beautiful bouquets with Diana from Aylord Farm Floral.

🐦 July 11 — Birdhouse Decorating
A creative and fun day at the farm for families and friends.

🍽️ August 22 — Long Table Farm Dinner
Featuring Mara’s best chili chef, Juan, cooking his favorite dishes and sharing what he loves most — bringing quality food to friends, family, and community.

🥕 September 12 — Harvest & Cook Together
Come harvest your favorite vegetables from the farm, and we’ll cook them together.

🎃 October 10 — Pie Contest & Pumpkin Day
A cozy fall celebration with homemade pies, pumpkins, and farm fun.

And honestly… there’s already been so much happening that we didn’t even have time to tell you about all of it yet. ❤️

There’s something so special about slowing down, connecting with nature, and learning about the power of herbs. From blending our own teas to sharing stories and laughter, it was more than just a workshop — it was a moment to breathe, learn, and enjoy together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made it so warm and memorable. We can’t wait to do it again.

When you thought you were starting a cute little farm…
and now your alarm goes off before sunrise, the harvest bins are overflowing, and somehow you’re packing orders with one hand and drinking cold tea with the other.

This is the side of farming people don’t always see — the early mornings, the muddy boots, the race to get everything fresh for market day.

But honestly? We wouldn’t trade it.
