$100 down now will secure you a whole or half of an organic grass fed lamb when they're ready in the fall of 2017. With the exception of a few yearlings from last year's lamb crop that we carried over winter to grow more and be harvested in June the main harvest of prime lambs will begin late August / early September and carry on into November. The remainder to be paid

upon receiving the cut and wrapped meat. The price is $7.75 pr pound hanging weight, which is the weight of the whole carcass as it arrives to the butchers but cutting and wrapping is covered in that cost. In the past CSA customers received a discount but with increased stock and an improved program, including use of a government approved abattoir, our overhead has gone up and as demand for lamb is always high the incentive for CSA customers to pay in advance simply comes down to being guaranteed one of the better lambs. The average whole lamb can range in price from $200 - $400 depending on weights. Priority will be given in order of deposits made. email me your $100 deposit to [email protected]

The remainder to be paid upon receiving the cut and wrapped meat. The price will be $9 per pound hanging weight, which is the weight of the whole carcass as it arrives at the butchers but cutting and wrapping are covered in that cost.

The incentive for CSA customers to pay in advance simply comes down to being guaranteed one of the better lambs, cut, wrapped and delivered as soon as they are ready and know you've supported your farmer in the meantime.

The average whole lamb can range in price from $200 - $400 depending on weights. If it's a good year most should be on the heavier side.
