Hello Sooke, I’m Nicole.

The Twisted Onion offers affordable, home-cooked meals made right here in the community. I’ve been cooking since childhood, learning through family traditions and shared kitchen knowledge from many homes along the way.

This page is where I’ll post weekly meals, budget-friendly options, preorder details, and pickup / delivery times. Simple food, made with care, for real life.

Thai Red Curry with rice
Swedish Style Meatballs with egg noodles
Cabbage Rolls
Lasagna
Sheppard's Pie

All meals are made with simple whole ingredients, using a combination of portions.

Special requests or alterations may be subject to extra charges.

Hello Facebook world, I’m Nicole. Welcome to my page.

I’ve loved cooking since I was a small child. For me, food has always been about family, the quiet passing down of tips, tricks, and traditions from one generation to the next. Those moments around the kitchen shaped much of my childhood.

When I had my own children, we began digging even deeper into that generational knowledge. Not just from our own family, but from any family willing to share. Stories, techniques, little secrets that only come from lived experience. I love learning, and I love composing dishes from the knowledge gathered and the stories told along the way.

The Twisted Onion is my way of sharing that with the world.

It’s about home-cooked meals, honest food, recipes, tips, and tricks. Food made with care, curiosity, and connection.

Because good food belongs to everybody.
