Originally these bags were only available for wholesale customers, but now everyone can enjoy this beautiful flour!

We have been using this flour for decades and love it. It cooks just like all purpose flour and can be used in any recipe you already use.

The pigs were still sleeping at 6:30 this morning, but they will be outside before long.

They are currently learning how to respect the electric fence. We train this by introducing an electric fence on a solid fence. When they run into it now, they learn that they can’t get through. When they move out to pasture, they remember this.

It’s been such a cold spring that the pastures aren’t quite ready for the pigs yet but with the warm week forecast, the grass will be ready for them soon.

Hazel gave birth to a heifer calf Friday morning.

She has a history of having milk fever after calving so we gave her extra calcium before and after calving. (Milk fever happens when blood calcium falls too low)

Saturday afternoon she began to get chills, had cold ears, and didn’t want to stand up. We gave her more calcium and watched her closely. When she was only marginally better Sunday morning, we called the vet, who gave her intravenous calcium. This did the trick!

Hazel is doing much better now, nursing her calf and moving around as normal.

Our son and his cousin got the honor of naming the calf, meet Cinnamon Toast!
