Another week. Another harvest. 🌿

This week, Victory at St. John's Convention Centre produced over 2.3 kg of fresh herbs. Nearly a year into our Local Champion program, every harvest is helping us improve yields, software, and the growing experience.

Victory has a new home! You can now find it beside the bar at Terre Restaurant & Café 🌿

We recently moved Victory so we could take advantage of our fully automated water connection - and so more people can discover it while they dine.

A carrot. But also 10 years of R&D. 🥕

Back in 2021, we started trying to grow what many people said couldn’t be done: root vegetables indoors.

At the time, it was mostly an engineering challenge. But today, it’s becoming a customer requirement.

As we work with more kitchens and communities, we’re getting requests that go far beyond herbs and leafy greens. Carrots, potatoes, broccoli, and other nutrient-dense crops that most indoor growing systems weren’t designed to handle.

Growing root vegetables in a compact, automated aeroponic system requires solving a completely different set of engineering and horticultural problems.

Seeing results like this is a reminder that those challenges are solvable and that the future of indoor farming is much bigger than salad.

What a few weeks of growth in a Victory looks like at 👀

The team has been harvesting the whole way through while helping us test everything from herb staples to hard-to-get crops like shiso and watermelon radish.

Thousands of people have walked by this unit during conferences and events and honestly the SJCC team can probably demo Victory better than we can at this point 😂

Building in public is terrifying sometimes, but working with teams like this makes it easier.

Early tests with our Local Champions show growth up to 50% faster than soil. Excited to share more on these sustainable pods (and to taste that savoury!)
