Stella (Sir Wanabi/Bon Balou), just over 1 month under saddle, piloted by the skilled and patient Allie. She is slowly building up strength and fitness. From a dummy foal, to surviving colitis at 5 weeks, to a 4-year-old under saddle, plus many more bumps and vet visits in between. Owning and raising horses is a joy and privilege, but it is back-breaking, sometimes heartbreaking work. So, we celebrate the wins, sit as long as we can in the moments of joy, while trying not to brace for the next twist in the long road to becoming a middle-aged, amateur ladies' dressage mount. Go Stelly!!

Stellamaris (Sir Wanabi/Bon Balou) was a solid citizen for her light start this fall. Thank you to Sarah for giving her such a solid foundation. Stella is brave, curious and navigated walk, trot, canter and even hacked out by herself under Sarah's guidance. She is now home and will enjoy the winter off to allow her time to mature and grow into that hind end.
