Hey friends and followers, I recently watched a movie called The Rivals of Isaiah King. It stars Matthew McConaughey as Amziah King, a rural Oklahoma beekeeper and bluegrass musician. I enjoyed the music, cinematography, and of course the beekeeping aspect! While I found some of the movie’s portrayal of beekeeping to be somewhat simplified & romanticized, I found it to be generally accurate. It’s definitely worth watching if you’re a fan of bees, bluegrass, or crime dramas! 👍🐝👍

Well, this past weekend marked the end of this year’s harvest. While I’m still working on spinning the honey, I did manage to cut this year’s honeycomb! Honeycomb isn’t for everyone, but if you’ve been waiting, now’s the perfect time to order before it’s all gone!

Hey friends, just a friendly reminder that even though it’s still warm, now’s the perfect time to start putting together your natural medicine for the winter months ahead. It’s a simple, tried-and-true remedy that uses garlic, rosemary and onions infused in raw honey. It provides soothing relief for coughs, boosts your immunity and helps you fight off colds!

It’s always a treat to see the barter system in action! Delicious, homemade pumpkin sourdough bread from BakeHouse for some Vanstone Sundries Local Raw Honey, fair trade in In my opinion. I find the best way to eat Christie’s fabulous bread is lightly toasted with some of the VS Cinnamon-Infused Honey drizzled over it! 🤤
