The wildfire smoke has caused the cancellation of this Saturday's Kakabeka Market. We will stay here and watch the zucchinis grow. Be safe, everybody! The stress from the smoke is insidious.

Unfortunately, the province's Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) for our area is currently at a 10+ danger out of 10, and this is predicted to persist at least until the end of Friday. We've made the decision to cancel the Market for Saturday, July 18. Please stay safe, and make plans to come see us on Saturday, July 25.

Come see us at the Market tomorrow! We'll have sponge toffee, radishes, and will be continuing our donated perennial sale to benefit the Rural Cupboard Food Bank. πŸ™‚

Come to the Market tomorrow, July 11! We're outdoors beside the Kakabeka Legion parking lot, 4554 Highway 11/17, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm - every summer Saturday!

For a list of our 2026 vendors (regular and occasional), visit our website at www.kakabekafarmersmarket.ca/our-vendors/

Some highlights for tomorrow:
- Landale Farms - will have garlic scapes, + herbs and perennials
- Windy Sunshine Farm Boreal Berry Jam - featuring: sugar-free strawberry jam, and more!
- Sumac Hill Creations (Marcel Tardif) - Marcel's usual beautiful creations from wood, plus something new this week: yarn bowls!
- My PTSD Bakery - apple pie, blueberry pie, garlic cheddar bread, caramels, strawberry cheesecake, chocolate strawberry pie, strawberry pie, banana cake, strawberry cake, scones, and peanut butter & jam cinnamon rolls
Our Herbs - garlic scapes: you know, those curly, garlicky stems you can only get in July!
- Bearhaven - famous sponge toffee! And they're watching to see if the zucchini will be ready by this evening (really!)

Come meet these and many more LOCAL growers and crafters.
