We trade hornworms picked off our tomato and potato plants for chicken manure. Growing without pesticides means reducing bug pressure by hand picking at optimal times.

We planted 100 fingerling plants for the first time and are so pleased with the harvest. We’ll have these, as well as Yukon Golds at the Ridgeway Farmers Market this Saturday. No pesticide potatoes means I’ll enjoy them boiled with the skins left on.
