POV: It's 2019 and O&F just launched 🤍

Our 7 year anniversary just passed (June 1st) and I have some taken some time to truly reflect on these years that seem to have flown by.

Looking through these photos feels a little surreal.

When these were taken, Olive & Fig was just me with sprinkles of George. No team, no commercial kitchen, no refusing orders because we are at capacity, no grazing tables for hundreds of guests. Just a condo kitchen, a lot of ambition, and a belief that beautiful food could bring people together.

At the time, I had no idea where this little business would take me. I truly that it was a hobby that I would eventually tire of like everything else I tried out as a hobby. I was saying yes to opportunities, learning as I went, celebrating every order, and pouring everything I had into building something from scratch.

Seven years later, Olive & Fig has grown into a 2,800 sq. ft. space, a team of 9 incredible people, and the opportunity to be part of thousands of celebrations.

Looking back, I'm reminded that every business starts somewhere. These photos are a reminder of mine.

Thank you to everyone who supported Olive & Fig in those early days, and to everyone who continues to support us today. None of this would have been possible without you.

🧀 Organizing and elegantly wrapping all orders
🏷️ Ensuring dietary restrictions are accurately followed and labelled
🚚 Coordinating deliveries and supporting our drivers
📦 Maintaining quality control and order accuracy
✨ Helping us bring beautiful food experiences to life

Have you had a chance to visit our new space yet?

If you're new here, we spent the past year planning for, designing and building our own O&F HQ after several years of working within shared kitchen spaces.

Our new space was designed with our customers and our team in mind! During the building hunting and design phases, our must-have criteria was:

☀️ Windows, windows, windows - Our team, George, & I spend most of our time at work so access to Vitamin D was #1! This was non-negotiable. An added bonus - incredible contenr.

✨️ A large kitchen space with state-of-the art equipment - Even though we started off as just a charcuterie company in 2019, we are so much more than just that thanks to our talented team of Chefs and truly in a league of our own.

🌸 Gorgeous Foyer & Boardroom - We wanted our customers to walk into a space that matched our product aesthetic. We wanted somewhere we could host - inviting customers in to speak about their potential orders and somewhere we could brainstorm with our team.

💫 Staff Lunch Room & Beautiful Bathrooms - Our team is so incredibly important to us that we wanted them to have a space to call their own. Trust us, you cannot discount how important clean, beautiful bathrooms are!

There are so many more items that we included in the design that make our space home...offices, quotes, coffee machine, large tablets, wall quotes, storage room and huge walk-in fridge...the list goes on.

We are constantly improving everything at Olive & Fig - our space, our process, our product and so much more. Thank you for being a part of our journey.

Behind every email is a story.

For me, it usually looks something like this.

Six months ago, I became a mom. I also remained the owner, operator, dreamer, planner, problem-solver, and ribbon helper at Olive & Fig.

There was no maternity leave—just learning how to build a business and raise a baby at the same time. In fact, George & I were managing our deliveries in the delivery room the day Nico was born.

The truth is, Olive & Fig has always been built on family. Now our newest little family member gets a front-row seat to the journey.

And while responses might occasionally come between nap time and snack time, every message is replied to with gratitude.

Watching Yiayia walk through our new HQ with incense in her hands and throwing old money blessing our space felt like watching generations of love, sacrifice and tradition come full circle.

Long before Olive & Fig existed, both my yiayias built a life centered around food, family and caring for others - teaching us that the kitchen was never about just feeding people. It was about bringing them together.

This headquarters is bigger than business to us. It holds family stories, previous generations, past traditions and the people who believed in us before any of this was possible.

A reminder that success means so much more when your family is there to witness it.

A small moment that felt really big to us.

Watching the Olive & Fig sign go up made everything feel real in a whole new way. O&F was once an idea, then a hobby, then a side-hustle and now it's become more than just a business for us. It's home.

Grateful for every client, every event, every order, and every person who helped us get here. 🤍
