One word RAMEN!...Two words AJISEN RAMEN!

I havent been to AJISEN RAMEN in a minute and after having a bowl of their BLACK GARLIC FILET MIGNON ramen, I knew I made the right choice, and you cant go wrong with the CHICKEN KARAAGE! Make sure to give it a good dip in their sauce, so creamy and the chicken was very juicy and great crunch on the outside.

Ajisen was the OG ramen spot back when ramen spots werent really a thing. Since 2004, they're still serving up some delicious bowls of ramen, so you know there doing something right!

My cousin got one of their newer featured ramens, TRUFFLE SHOYU RAMEN. Yes, they had us at TRUFFLE! Flavourful broth and very comforting.

Finally trying out the viral Vietnamese snack BÁNH RAM ÍT with my cuz Brenn Ramos in Scarborough at didi.midland and it was pretty good!

I mean, a glutinous rice dumpling stuffed with pork and shrimp on top of another deep fried dumpling? OKAAAAAY!

Smothered it in their fish sauce and it was a really great bite! Was hoping for more filling though. The fish sauce is a MUST bc the deep fried part can get a bit oily and it helps cut it with some tang and freshness.

I love focacia and I love me an Italian sandwich!and Penelope Focacceria recently opened up their new bakehouse in Scarborough! and I was looking forward to checkin it out!

The smell once I walked in was so comforting and I knew I was in the right place. I came for the Italian sandwiches but the pizza, freshly baked sourdough and desserts were calling my name!

I tried three sandwiches and my fave was the ITALIAN. The star of the sandwich was definitely the focaccia bread and then they stuffed it with salami, capocollo, prosciutto, provolone, olives, peperoncino, iceberg, chili jam and garlic aioli. Making it even better!

Had to get me a CRULLER and sourdough loaf to bring home.
