Have you tried GANJANG GEJANG?! Raw marinated crabs. If not this is your sign to get you a taste!

As a Korean food lover I love trying things outside of the regular japchae, bulgogi and bbq sometimes and at JUNG SOO NE BONGA they are known for their signature raw marinated crabs and authentic Korean food. And seeing how its peak crab season this is the perfect time!

We got the soy marinated crabs, but they also come in a spicy version if you want some kick! They were very fresh and flavourful. Nice and creamy texure and paired perfect with some purple rice.

And you know we had to get a HAEMUL PAJEON, seafood pancake! Crispy, perfectly fried and not too oily. Very generous portion and I aint mad at it!

We also got the GALBITANG, very comforting and BIBIMBAP in the stone bowl. You gotta have that crispy bottom! and, of course the BANCHANS to snack on between bites.

I finally got my BIGGIES fix and it definitely hit the spot! Have you tried BIGGIES yet?!

Servin' up their LOCAL HAWAIIAN & FILIPINO inspired lunch plates only till the 24th! This will be there last weekend at The Food District so you better go soon!

A MUST is their 'OG' GARLIC BUTTER SHRIMP with the rice and mac salad! Comfort food at its best.

The Hawaiian staple LOCO MOCO was a definite YES for me. 2 burger patties covered in gravy and a sunny side up egg all on some rice, YES!And their GRAVY was too too good! Ask for extra on the side, TRUST!

FRIED CHICKEN 🔥! KALBI 🔥! KATSU 🔥! HULI HULI CHICKEN! Everything was ONO! Everything was MASARAP! Just some good food that'll make you feel good!

BIGGIES never disapoints and big shoutouts to Chef and the whole Biggies team for another great experience.

MJ Eats AUGUST 8 📍10 Lebovic Ave Unit 3A, Scarborough, ON

When I heard that August 8 started doing the whole Brazilian BBQ thang! I messaged the group chat and we were there the next day! lol!

Well not next day but we had to go check it out for ourselves as soon as possible! lol!

We were always a fan of August 8, I mean AYCE dim sum and sushi! and now BRAZILIAN BBQ? OKAAAAAY!

Good things, freshly grilled meats are thee best! Hot, juicy and tender.

The only down side is the wait time. The meat is cooked fresh and it takes awhile for another round of meat to come by especially if your looking for a specific cut and by that time youve already filled up on dim sum and sushi, I know! you just cant resist!

Other than that sharing a meal with some good friends is always a good time.

Chef is introducing the culture of the Philippines to the masses one dish at a time!

has a new Filipino inspired dinner menu by Chef Isaac reppin' his cultural roots and he wants to spread the love for the Philippines to all of you!

I really appreciate that the dishes are elevated but still kept the Filipino comfort food vibes not losing the appeal of how and what Filipino food is all about. Family-style, sharing food with your loved ones and gathering together.

Some highlights for me were the huge ADOBO FRIED CHICKEN WINGS, great crunch and juicy. FRIED CALAMARI fried perfectly.

The PORK SISIG TACOS had so much flavour from the fattiness of the pork, creaminess of the egg and a little citrus and heat to balance it all out. SEAFOOD PALABOK PASTA was creative and had good flavour but I would have liked more sauce. Im a saucey guy.

Dishes that surprised me was the CRISPY BLACK COD and the BEEF SHORT RIB SALPICAO, solid dishes.

Oh and dont forget to get the GARLIC FRIED RICE and ADOBO FRIED BRUSSEL SPROUTS for some gulay! (vegetables). For, you know...balance! lol!

Thank you Next Door Restaurant and Chef Isaac for a great experience. [invited]
