✨In My Grandma Era 👵🏽🌹✨
At some point in my youth, I really didn’t like pink or roses. I associated them with things that felt “too girly” (I was a bit of a tomboy growing up and loved things like street hockey lol), and rose things for Valentine’s Day always felt a little generic to me.
Over the past few years though, something has shifted. The phrase “stop and smell the roses” couldn’t feel more true to my life now…literally stopping to smell the roses reminds me to slow down, reflect on what’s good, and appreciate all the challenges I’ve overcome. It’s easy to forget our own strength sometimes, but remembering it can help us move forward with a little more grace.
When I learned that roses vibrate at one of the highest frequencies in nature (LOVE!! 😍🙌🏽) and are known to help calm the nervous system, I’ve become obsessed! Over the past few years, my little beds outside the studio have grown into 10 rose bushes, and I was recently gifted 2 more 😅
Working with these incredible flowers has slowly become part of my creative process.
In between painting, I’ve been harvesting these roses and creating a few beautiful offerings:
🌹Rose Glow Syrup
🌹Rose Mineral Soak
🌹Rose Body Polish
All handcrafted in small limited batches with minimal ingredients, as much organic as possible, and of course LOTS of love! 😉
I hope these li’l offerings remind you to stop and smell the roses too 😌💕
If any of these interest you, we’ll have them at the Powell River Farmers' Market this weekend or feel free to PM me for pick-up! ✨
