⚠️ISLAND-WIDE OUTAGE⚠️ (June 6th)
~ 12:30 p.m Approximately 68,000 customers have been restored; Work is underway for the remainder.
~ 12:10 p.m; A trip on the Labrador Island Link has caused an underfrequency load shed, which has resulted in power interruption for customers in areas across the island. The process of restoring customers has begun, Officials apologize for the inconvenience today and appreciate your patience as we gradually bring power back on to those affected.
~ 11:55 a.m; NL Power is quickly resolving power to residents across the island. There are still over 30,000 customers without power at this time.
~ 11:46 a.m; UPDATED: Residents are affected ISLAND wide due to a large power outage.
~ 11:45 a.m; There are numerous reports of a large power outage affecting multiple communities including St. John’s, Mount Pearl, Torbay, Flatrock, Conception Bay South and more.
There is no official word from Newfoundland Power regarding this outage.
In areas, traffic lights may be out not operating, treat them as a four-way stop and use caution.
