My morning lineup. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. for the last 5 years 🫢

Sometimes my goals change, or I loose sight of them, but one thing remains consistent and that is my morning shake/breakfast. It literally takes me 2 seconds, I don’t blend them because I’m lazy in that area… lol!! 10oz of water, 2 scoops and go ✌️

PROTEIN SHAKES & Meal Replacement Shakes are EVERYWHERE!

You will see them at Costco, Walmart, Whole Foods, Nature’s Fare and so many more

But know this... NOT all Shakes are created equal

Can I tell you a story? A REAL story? A story of progress not perfection? One of strength and one of weakness too?

Here I am. Creeping into my 36th year on this crazy planet. A mom of 2 beautifully crafted young ladies, a wife of 20 years!

I can’t tell you how many times I have jumped in with 2 feet 🦶 and landed flat on my face. How many times I have dipped my toe into something and decided I wanted to run the other way. I have some massive accomplishments under my belt (not including my offspring) which mom’s seem to do quite often...and I’ve some epic fails too!

What you see is not always what you get.....

I show up when I’m in my peak state, and I am a professional at hiding when I am not. The truth is, I AM HUMAN! And so are you xo

So here is a reminder for anyone who needs to hear it, myself included, START AGAIN. Get up, dust yourself off and GO!

Egg Roll in a Bowl Recipe

- from Flavor Mosaic; serves 4 and one of our fam faves!!! Cut the meat and go Vegan 🌱 on this one! Here’s how to make it ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

Ingredients:

1 pound (16-ounces) ground beef/chicken
1 (16-ounce package) coleslaw mix
1/4 cup (2-ounces) shredded carrots
1 Tablespoon oil
1 onion , chopped
2 cloves garlic , minced
2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger
3 Tablespoons soy sauce (or Coconut Aminos)
1 Tablespoon rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
2 teaspoons Sriracha (or to taste)
4 Tablespoons chopped green onions
1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds
(I also added an egg, see above)

Instructions:

Place a large wok or skillet on the stove over medium heat.
Add oil. Add onions and saute for about 3 - 5 minutes.
Add minced garlic and minced fresh ginger and cook for about one minute, stirring the whole time.
Add the ground beef to the onions, garlic, and ginger.
Cook the ground beef until brown and no longer pink and juices run clear.

Empty the bag of coleslaw mix (shredded cabbage) and shredded carrots to the ground beef.
Cook the coleslaw (shredded cabbage and carrots) with the ground beef until the cabbage is wilted and carrots are softened.

Pour in the soy sauce, vinegar, and sriracha and stir.
Garnish the dish with chopped green onions, more sriracha, and sesame seeds.

Serve hot and enjoy!!

Creatives; willing to find ways to live outside of the box, those who get inspired by challenge to find their own solutions.

Rebels; who have been misfits many times in the past so they are immune to being excluded.

The Wild Ones with deep connection and reverence to the land, who know nature has everything they need.

Old Souls who have seen this all before and have been persecuted over lifetimes for doing things differently.

The Healers who are resourced with tools and modalities outside of the mainstream to restore balance and vitality.

Rainbow Warriors who know what’s sacred and aren’t afraid to stand strong in their convictions.

Inner Peace Seekers who were already adopting a slower way of living and detaching from commodities.

Optimists with an inner knowing of what really matters who can adapt their perspective to see the blessings that difficulties can bring.

The Stubborn Ones who will not bend to coercion no matter how tight you squeeze, who will find ways to adapt to obstacles before going against their truth.

Intuitives who trust their inner voice before any external noise.

The Lions and Lionesses who will fiercely protect their young and will stop at nothing to hold the line as you awaken the fire within.

5 Clean Eating Tips 🍽 🥬 🏃‍♀️

1. Eat whole foods. That means eating oats and blueberries rather than a blueberry muffin. When you eat packaged foods, only buy brands that contain "real food" ingredients—ingredients you easily recognize, can pronounce, and would use to make a "from scratch" version in your own kitchen.

2. Simplify meals. Keep your meal ingredients to a minimum—just be sure to include a source of whole grains, lean protein, and healthy fat at each meal. For example, veggies and shrimp stir-fried in sesame oil over a bed of brown rice seems restaurant quality but can be whipped up faster than takeout.

3. Eat slower. Put your fork or spoon down between every bite, and focus on the flavors and textures of your food. (Learning how to eat mindfully can help.)

4. Eat on a regular schedule. Other than your fasting times, Try not to let more than about four hours go by between meals or snacks. Steady meal timing helps regulate your digestive system, blood sugar and insulin levels, and appetite.

5. Listen to your body. Eat when you're hungry and stop when you're full—meaning satisfied, not stuffed.

Some Sunday inspiration!!

Clark has some obvious health wins just by looking at these photos! But you know what else are big wins? He can cut his toe nails and when he gets in the shower his feet now get wet!! 💦. Non scale victories are super fun too!! 🎉

Well here is just a short list of the little things …
I feel Incredible, better that I have in in over 20 Plus Years ..
Know that I am doing everything possible to make me the healthiest Person that I can be to help insure that I can be around to enjoy my Family, Grand Children (no hurry …But when they do get here!!) my Nieces and Nephews and all of the wonderful Friends that I have been Blessed with !!
Having the energy to go to the Gym !!! And not being achy or sore at all !!
Not falling asleep on the way home and being awake after 9:00PM and having energy !!!
Getting rid of all of my 3 and 4XL Shirts and Being able to buy XL’s !!!!
Going from having a 44’’ waist, which really sat about 4’’ Below where I am able to wear my 34-36’’ at
Without the aid of suspenders …It was like trying to put a belt on a funnel
I had to go from 30’’ to 32’’ in length …
Having a Belt that does not hit the floor when I take it off …
Being able to cut my toenails without guessing or passing out, I do not know how my baby toes survived …
Everything is getting wet in the shower now … I am talking about my feet people 😉
I am so thankful that Shannon Betway took the “Before” Pictures to help me realize how unhealthy and miserable I looked and felt.
And to Chad who introduced me to the Nutritional Cleansing program that has truly turned my life around !!!!!!!!!!”

Here is an easy breakdown on how to make a fabulous board that everyone will enjoy! AND, you can jazz it up for holidays by adding Christmas inspired items and garnishing with pine or eucalyptus branches!!🌿🌿

HOW TO: The PERFECT Charcuterie Board🧀🍇

INGREDIENTS: make this part your own!!!
1 soft cheese (mozzarella, burrata, goat cheese, brie)
1 or 2 semi-soft cheese (smoked gouda, jarlsberg, blue cheese, gorgonzola)
1 semi-hard cheese (manchego, provolone, comte)
1 hard cheese (asiago, aged cheddar, irish cheddar, parmesan)
2 cured meats (salami, prosciutto, peppered salami, serrano ham, pancetta)
assorted crackers
nuts (almonds, cashews, candied pecans pistachios)
fruit (grapes, apple slices, pear slices, dried apricots, dried cranberries, pomegranate seeds)
extras (marinated olives, stone ground mustard, honey, holiday specifics, pine or eucalyptus branches)
INSTRUCTIONS: have fun with this!!
Grab your Cheese Board. (slate, wooden cheese board, cutting board, plate, etc)
Place your “extras” in various parts of the board in ramekins.
Assemble your cheese (cut and uncut) all over the board.
Now, add your crackers to the board. Remember it doesn’t have to be perfect or organized.
Unwrap the cured meat and place them in various spots on the board.
Take the fruits and nuts you have and fill in any open spots on the board. Place them anywhere. There is no order to this. Just make the board look super full & colorful!

My why. My everything. The reason I continue to peel back the layers, dig deeper, fail forward and understand myself. The reason I push the envelope and build and develop myself in ways I was never taught. The reason I hustle and work so hard and remind myself to slow down. I want to show them that anything is possible when you put in the work and believe in yourself and that it’s ok to fall, as long as you get back up! I want to show them that there are bad ass woman around the world 🌎 that want the same and that they are not alone.

I am far from perfect and I have let that go and realized I am human. We are all human. We are raising babies while we are still babies ourselves. I’m doing my best and at times that doesn’t feel like it’s enough but then I look into these beautiful little humans eyes and know I’ve done something right.
