I am a culinary graduate and have been cooking for 12+ years. I have spent most of my chef life working for fine-dine restaurants specifically serving modern contemporary and progressive cuisines. I have spent my time in kitchen working with Michelin starred chefs and also Premium 5 - star hotel brands.

An astrologer was walking on the banks of river when he noticed a foot prints of a person. Back in the day, people had a certain mastery and good observation skills to foretell about a person just by looking at their orientation. It was a very reliable piece of knowledge which got lost in translation. Amongst this lost knowledge, palm reading is something we still carry on with ourselves in today’s world.

So this astrologer saw that these were the foot prints of an emperor. The one who was capable of ruling the world. The one who will be remembered for generations. His curious mind made him follow the foot steps because he wanted to meet this great personality. After walking for a while he reached a tree under which he saw a monk meditating.

He was disturbed that his knowledge had failed him. He was expecting to see a king with his troops , but all he saw was a monk deep in his meditation. He went to this monk and asked him,
“Please do tell, Who are you?”

The monk replied, “ I am nobody.”

The Astrologer said,“ But you have the feet of an emperor who would one day conquer the world.”

Monk said, “That i will because I am the emperor of this world”

Astrologer said, “How can you be an emperor of this world. You own nothing!”

Monk replied, “ I am nobody and I own nothing. That is why everything is mine.”

Modern world mathematicians have claimed that Zero and Infinite are one and the same. And here was this monk sharing the same knowledge in his own way thousands of years ago.

This monk was Gautam Buddha.
The one who conquered the world by becoming nothing.

I BELIEVE in leaving the kitchen light on so there is always something to come home to.

I believe in writing our initials into the foggy bathroom mirror with our fingers.
I believe in making pasta with lemon.
I believe in kissing. I believe in pink roses on the dining room table. Peonies on the nightstand. Lilies on the bathroom counter.
