June is Filipino Heritage Month. I'm trying to see how many Filipino businesses I can support this June! 🇵🇭 Last week, I finally got to go to Pinoy Cravings BC in Burnaby. Overall, the food was delicious! 🤤 Everything was tasty and also, reasonable priced - which is not always easy to find nowadays. 👍 I would recommend checking them out! If you have been, let me know what you enjoyed from here! Anyone try their turon??

The new TM Wander Asian Food Hall inside Tsawwassen Mills is such a vibe! ✨ I love how vibrant and open the space is, and the hanging lanterns are so pretty I just couldn't help but keep looking up! 🤩🏮This newly opened space is huge and really cool but it's also super BUSY right now since they just opened less than 2 weeks ago. 😅 They have Cha Don, Big Way, Dinesty, FinFin, Rollzy, and more! I braved the lineup to and waited a total 1h20m before I got my food but dang it, I sure had a delicious meal!!!! 😛

TM Wander is a great addition to the mall. Honestly, it felt like I was somewhere else - like how did I suddenly get to Asia? lol. 😂 So many aunties and uncles everywhere!! 💕 For now, you can expect lineups at pretty much all stations so don't forget to bring some patience with you. But hey, you can always wait in line, get it to go and go to the other food court to eat if you can't find a table!

Went back to Nando's to enjoy some fresh flame-grilled Portuguese chicken!! 🔥🍗 The whole family loves this place, we often go to the location on the Langley Bypass and we get a bit of everything each time. 😬 Chicken with lemon & herb sauce, salad, peri-peri fries, dessert... *chefs kiss*! 😘 My fave thing about it is that it's juicy, charred and saucy! If you want more sauce, you can easily slap more on your feast!! 🌶️

This time, we ordered the skewers, Mediterranean salad, half chicken, peri-peri fries, spicy peri rice, mango and strawberry lemonades, chocolate kiss ice cream dessert and cheesecake! 😍 We had enough for leftovers but before we left, we also had to have some Mac & cheese. lol, we may have a Nando's problem. Send help! 🤣

👉 Fun facts: their chicken is marinated for 24 hrs, they are freshly prepared every day (every 1.5-2 hrs!), and this brand has been around since 1987! 😮

Look, I made this Jelly Floral Cake!! 🤩 Ok, I did get some help - I signed up for a workshop with in Richmond and tadaaaa! I'm now a cake artist lol (I wish!). 🌼 I enjoyed this class although I have to admit, I was pretty nervous the first time!! Thankfully, we had 2 cakes to work with so we got better and more confident by the second time. What do you think? 😄

👉 Here's what to expect in the class: within 3 hours, you learn with a small group which allows for close one-on-one instruction, you get to work on two small cakes so you can see yourself improve (and you can shrug all the jitters away!), you learn how to create the art and watch your creation reveal itself in the end... all in a low key, chill setting! And yes, we got to take our creations home, and Vivi offered hers for us that day too! 😘

The beloved Bubble Queen Cafe's last day is on May 24 after 2 decades of service. 🥲 Bubble Queen has been a long time fave since high school & college and many of us had our first over-the-top type of drink here! My fave were the mango and ferrero rocher ones. 🤤🥹 always hit the spot!!! For these last days, they have a smaller menu (swipe to view). Be ready to wait in line for your drinks and bubble waffles, but it's worth it! ❤️ Thanks Bubble Queen, you will be missed!

MeetRice Noodles is the place to go for big portions and unlimited noodle refills! 🤯 We tried the Combo for Two Deal for $64.95 (reg $74.95) and we got 2 soups, 2 sides and 2 drinks. If you get this deal when you dine in, you get free noodle refills!! 🥳 So eat smart and save some of that broth for your next serving - you can even take it home! We essentially had enough food for two meals and it was awesome. Yup, there's fantastic value here. Save this spot and make sure you check them out! 😁💯

When in Victoria, one of our must visits is Red Fish Blue Fish! 🐟 It's a small fish & chips place (they are located in a cool container by the docks) that always has a lineup! And I mean, I line up every time lol so am I silly or am I smart?! 🤣 I have never been disappointed. 😁💯 I have been going here for over a decade and I first discovered them during one of our dragon boat festivals when the tent site was RIGHT THERE you can't help but walk towards their restaurant! 🥰

Their fish is freshly cooked, their batter is amazing (& fried to a nice crisp), fries and tartar sauces - also yummy, and their chowder omg so good! You get lots of fish chunks & flakes in a nice creamy soup! 😋 The tacones are unique (served in tortilla) and now, we tried the fried pickles which were flat and delish! 🤤 During this latest visit, I see they now have fountain pop with refills - perfect pair with fish & chips wahoo! 🙌🏼

Seats are limited here, although I noticed they did add more standing tables. I always enjoy finding a seat because I enjoy having a nice view while I devour my fish & chips - I even saw a sea lion this time!! But hey, if there are no seats left, there's plenty of areas and benches by the water. ☺️👍
