A mini break from food! Here are some stores to check out if you're looking for some great bargains in Langley! Yes, there are tons more places to explore but we can start with these three. 🤗🛍️

👗 Good Karma - awesome premium used clothing store! They have a great selection of brands including Aritzia, Lululemon, Babaton, Massimo Dutti, Club Monaco, and more. The space is so nice & clean, the staff is friendly and the deals are great! We scored 5 great tops here! 😍 they also buy back clothes but check their schedule for that first!

🏺 Storehouse Thrift - a traditional thrift shop with some unique gems! It's not a huge store but they have a good variety of stuff from clothes to decor to kids books to furniture! They also have some cool monthly specials where items of a specific colour are 50% off! We grabbed 2 items - a top and a book for under $8!

📋 Urban Auctions - A warehouse full of auction items! So many things to look at, and you can go here every week and find something new. A wide assortment of old toys, vintage & collectibles, art, etc. we didn't walk away with anything this time but we created an account lol. I often browsed online but I guess now we're getting serious haha.

I feel like sometimes the local gems get hidden under all the hyped up stuff, so I want to take a moment to feature Estrella’s Montreal Deli - the amazing deli shop in Langley!! 🙌🏼🥪🤤 They are a true local fave (the lunch lineups prove it!) and they have really great Montreal smoked meat sandwiches!! 💯 If you can only get one sandwich, get the REUBEN. So freaking good!! And say yes to the pickle. Everything is made from scratch and is worth lining up for. 😍

Thinking of when to go? If you need a quick meal, go closer to when they open, or visit later in the day after 2pm. They're open 10-5pm Tuesdays to Saturdays so plan your visi! Please note: parking is small and there's construction happening around them. But to be honest, their line moves fairly fast and the wait time is reasonable because they're quite efficient here. 👏 So as I said on the video, worth the wait!! 😀 Hope you check them out if you haven't been, or hope you visit them again soon if it's been awhile!

Hey Langley! You just got Banh It Ram in your hood!! 🇻🇳 This viral savoury mochi dumpling from Central Vietnam is sought after by many tastebuds everywhere and lucky us, you can get it closer to home thanks to Maisvietnamese restaurant Langley ! 🥳 Lemme tell ya, this street food is so much fun to eat. 🤤 it's a chewy dumpling stuffed with shrimp & pork on the inside, THEN placed over a rice cracker for a unique texture combo experience! 💥 Make sure you dunk it or pour a lot of sauce on it, it tastes even better!!! Mai's version looks bigger than many from what I can tell and you get 3 for $15.95. 👏

They also launched a VEGAN steamed dumpling aka Banh Bot Loc. It's another dish from Central Vietnam - steamed in banana leaves and cooks translucent, so you can see a bit of the vegan pork & shrimp in there! 😀 If you are vegan/vegetarian, mention it so they will serve you with a vegan dipping sauce instead. 🌱

⭐️ Owner Anna and Top Chef Vietnam Season 3 Winner Chef Dinh Son Truc (yes, TOP CHEF!!! 🤩) worked on these recipes together. They did not skimp on quality ingredients making and it shows. I gotta say, it's nice to see a well established restaurant take risks by adding exciting new items to their menu. I hope this brings them new customers! 🙏 Pls help spread the word!

New bubble tea shop in Langley! 🥳 Ok folks, Macao Imperial just opened their second location in downtown Langley on Fraser Hwy and you gotta check it out! 🧋 My first time trying and I was personally drawn to the Filipino flavours on their menu: halo-halo (so pretty!), Ube cheesecake, Pandan cheesecake, taho... whaaaat! 🇵🇭 All the faves!! 😍 But hey, they also have the classics: milk teas, fruit teas, slushies, yogurt and soda drinks... aaaand desserts! The biscoff croffle and strawberry mini pancakes were soo yummy! I can't wait to try more items on their menu. 🤤 Macao Imperial Tea & Waffles | Vancouver | Langley

Their bbt drinks start at 6.99 for a medium and $7.99 for a large. Their special flavours like taho is $8.99 - smaller but you get this really cool egg cup!! Halo-halo is $9.99 but it's the larger size and has so many fixings!! 💯 When you go, best to go to the kiosk because the special flavours are not all shown on the reg menu board above. I mean, I placed the order and even upsold myself a boba plushie to add to my collection lol 🤣

Macao moved into the beloved Emilio Finatti building. Sad to see a much loved pizza shop go (they're opening a new shop in Murrayville tho!), but it's really exciting to see a new business open. 🙏 I think Macao Imperial will be a popular spot and I will likely bump into many of you there haha.

Korean-Chinese fusion flavours coming through! 🇰🇷🇨🇳Nampo Rice Bowl is a famous Chinese restaurant chain that offers hot stone bowls, hot pot, stir-fried dishes, appies and drinks! 🍲 We tried the Pickled Veggie Fish Pot (cuz I was so jealous of the 3 tables around me that were eating them lol!) which was a bit spicy, but I really liked the tender fish. 🤩 The other dish we tried is the Golden Angus Beef Pot with bone broth, which came in a fancy golden pot! 💛 Loved the flavour of this and it helped cut the spice from the Fish dish hehehe. We also had some boneless chicken strips and iced teas to round off our dinner meal. 😄

You can get unlimited rice when you dine in so do so if you can! Plus, you get ice cream after!!! 😋 The space is nice and bright and it wasn't too crowded when we visited on a weeknight. Check this place out if you're looking for Asian comfort meals! 👍
