Who knew 3 simple ingredients could create the ultimate crispy pork belly? 🥓🔥

I tried making crispy roast pork belly strips (skin-off!) for the first time, and I am so proud of how golden and flavorful these turned out!

If you have 4 pork belly strips from Costco, here’s how easy it is to make this feast:

Ingredients:
• 4 pork belly strips (skin off)
• 1 tbsp salt (adjust to taste)
• 1 tbsp chicken powder

Easy Steps:
1. Wash the pork belly strips and pat them completely dry with paper towels.
2. Mix the salt and vegeta or chicken powder together, then rub the mixture evenly over the strips.
3. Let them marinate for 30 minutes (or leave them in an airtight container in the fridge overnight for deeper flavor!).
4. Preheat your oven to 300°F. Arrange the strips on a baking rack inside a tray with the fat side facing up.
5. Bake at 300°F for 45 minutes.
6. Increase the oven heat to 375°F and bake for another 45 minutes, until the edges are beautifully golden and crispy.
7. Let them cool for 20 minutes before slicing.

Dipping Sauce:
Mix 1/4 cup white vinegar, 1/4 cup soy sauce, and 3-4 cloves of smashed garlic in a small dish. It adds the perfect savory tang! 🧄✨

Are you team garlic-vinegar dip, or do you prefer a sweet and spicy sauce for your pork belly? Tell me in the comments! 👇😋

POV: You found the perfect healthy treat—and saved a little money, too! 💰✨

I couldn’t resist picking up these beautiful purple yams and Japanese yams at the store today. I’m getting ready to steam them for the family, and I can already tell you, they are going to be so delicious and packed with nutrition!

You know how expensive these can get in the big chain stores lately, but I managed to find them for about a dollar cheaper just by checking around. It feels so good to feed the family something this healthy without overpaying. 😊✨ There’s just something so comforting about a warm, steamed yam—it’s the ultimate 'Healthier Bites' reset!

Tell me: Are you also a bargain hunter when you shop for your favorites? Or do you just grab what you need? Let’s talk about our best finds in the comments! ⤵

POV: You packed a few precious ears of white corn (pilit) in your luggage all the way from the Philippines to Canada, and they still taste like home. 🌽✈️

There’s something so grounding about food that carries memories. A huge thank you to Ping Ping Josephine Borra Mallada for sending these along for Tatay’s wake.

Even after crossing time zones and a long journey, a bite of this sweet, sticky white corn brought an unexpected piece of comfort when it was needed most.

Have you ever packed a special food item in your luggage just to have a taste of home abroad? Let me know in the comments below! 👇
