The Barnyard Zoo has a new chapter.
After our move, the original petting zoo side of things came to a natural close. All of the animals were responsibly rehomed, and the big farm setup changed, but the name and the heart behind it stayed with us.
Now Amanda is bringing The Barnyard Zoo back in a smaller, feathered, slightly ridiculous way.
Welcome to Chapter 2: The Quail House.
She has been hatching and caring for quail, pheasant chicks, goslings, ducklings, and more. Her current little world includes Coturnix, Celadon, and California quail, with hopes of adding Gambel’s and button quail in the near future.
She has also become a local resource for people who find injured, abandoned, or struggling quail. When space and timing allow, she does what she can to help.
This is not a petting zoo reopening, and it is not a veterinary clinic. It is simply Amanda doing what Amanda does best: caring for small creatures with big personalities.
We also work in conjunction with our sister farm in Alberta, which helps support the breeding, learning, and care side of things.
Tiny birds. Big personalities. Occasional nonsense.

Thanks for sticking with us. The barnyard looks a little different now, but the spirit is still very much alive.
