Smith Family Farm Vernon We are a family farm in Vernon, BC, with eggs and farm fresh produce to share! No chemicals or sprays, we love that our chickens and cows help make our compost.

We sell vegetable seedlings in the spring, eggs all year, fruit/produce in the summer.

Vegetable Seedlings homegrown with love at the house at Smith Family Farm, 6852 L&A rd, Vernon, $3 each and Habanero Peppers 🌶️ and Flynn special (mixed lucky dip) tomatoes 🍅 are buy one, get one free.

We use the soil blocking method and Westcoast organic fertilizers. This reduces the need for plastic, increases aeration to the roots, the roots naturally prune and there is less transplant shock when transplanted, as the roots have less disturbance once planted.

We have available:
Peppers - Jalapeño, Thai Dragon, Habanero, Banana, Hungarian Hot Wax 🌶️ .
Tomatoes 🍅 - Early Girl Slicer, Sunrise Bumble Bee Cherry, Sungold Cherry, Green Zebra slicer, Red Zebra slicer, San Marzano Roma. Then our dog Flynn mixed our labels on Roma (Bernard and Aimish Paste) Beefsteak (Mortgage Lifter and Cherokee Purple), they are big plants and gorgeous, it’s a lucky dip for these ones.

Eggplants 🍆 - Black Beauty, Farmers Long, Charming White

Squash - Spaghetti Squash, Green Zucchini, Yellow Zuchinni, English Telegraph Cucumber, Pickling Cucumber, Patty Pan squash, Cucamelon squash, Luffa sponge squash

Pumpkins - Flat Boer white, Pink Panther, Queensland 🇦🇺 Blue, Japanese Red Kuri Squash

Brassicas - Broccoli 🥦 , Cabbage, Cauliflower, Kalette (delicious, my new find, it’s a kale grown as a Brussel sprout, so tasty when baked), Brussels Sprouts.

Walla Walla onions 🧅, Green Globe Artichokes and Asparagus.

Please bring a box or container, etransfer, cheque or cash.

Seedling update from the ones in our house. Lots of healthy tomatoes 🍅 and peppers 🫑 🌶️ , plus exotic eggplants 🍆 and artichokes! We will be sowing squash shortly for our Mother’s Day seedling sale.

Today at the Smith Family Farmstand we have a selection of Jams (raspberry, cherry🍒 , blueberry🫐, apricot, plum, cherry raspberry), Salsa (cherry tomat🍅 and corn🌽 , fire roasted peach🍑 salsa), Red Pepper🌶️ Jelly, Country Chilli Sauce with peaches🍑 , preserved Fruit (Cherries, Apricots, Plums), crushed roasted Heirloom Tomatoes🍅 , with or without Onions.
