The container of beans has arrived! A fresh crop of 2026 harvest Lachua from Guatemala, the farm we've worked with for over a decade, plus beans from two other new farms we're really excited about. We'll turn these into new single-origin bars - both dark and milk - and possibly some flavoured bars drawing on ingredients from the same region. More on all of that when we've actually made the chocolate and can tell you what it tastes like, which is the only honest way to talk about it.

For anyone who has managed to avoid the marketing, Christopher Nolan's adaptation of Homer's Odyssey came out in July. A 2,800-year-old poem is currently outselling most things in cinemas. I find this genuinely delightful, and not only because it means I no longer have to explain as much about the Odyssey when someone asks about our name. What almost everyone misses is what the Sirens were actually offering. It wasn't seduction. It was information. It was knowledge. That's what Sirene offers.

Iced mocha season, but make it fancy… Sirene Fleur de Sel chocolate + espresso + cold milk = the best 5 minute treat. We used the Velvetiser drinking chocolate machine to melt it down silky smooth, but a regular milk frother or stovetop works too.
