Welcome to the family, MRF Nitro !
Nitro is a 12 month old red, hetero-polled Dexter bull. He is well-balanced and nicely muscled. He also shows a calm confidence and friendly temperament we value so much.
A lot goes into selecting the right breeding animals. From reviewing genetics and lineage to considering temperament, structure, diversity, and the future of our herd, every decision is made with care. We are excited about what Nitro brings to our program and the possibilities ahead!

A huge thank you to Becky and Mark Maple Ridge Farm for all their help, support, and guidance in making this happen.

We raise pigs for many reasons — to produce good food, to support our family, and to share our passion for farming.
But at the heart of it all, we do it because we genuinely love these animals. ❤️

Our crew today at the market !
We love bringing the kids along and giving them little jobs to help out. They work hard… for a while. 😄 After that, you’ll usually find them napping in a chair, curled up somewhere unexpected, or playing a game beside the veggies until it’s time to pack up. lol

Ever wonder what goes into getting ready for market?

The night before, we load our freezers into the truck and let them run overnight so they’re fully frozen by morning. Then, first thing in the morning, we load in our pasture-raised pork, ensuring it goes straight into a perfectly frozen freezer and stays at the proper temperature from our farm to the market.
