Our girls get 2g boluses of copper oxide wire particles about every 3 months. It helps keep their copper levels where they need to be and it also temporarily works on reducing barber’s pole worms - win, win!
I buy the 4g boluses and redistribute them into 2g and 1g (for the kids) doses. Then I get my partner to handle the administration part 😂

Homemade sourdough and camembert. I’m slowly developing my understanding of how our milk works and the factors that come into play when aging the different types of cheeses. The byproducts of the experiments are usually quite tasty !

Tally is producing 1L of milk as a FF and 92 days in lactation. She’s dam raising and we only started milking her everyday this week. Most days I don’t even close the head gate on the stanchion as she’s an absolute angel. She milks out in less than 2 minutes. She is so fun to milk - my favourite!

Very excited with this FF udder. Miss Talladega (Tally) has a smooth, buttery udder (so dairy!) that milks out in no time and with minimal effort. Can’t wait to see how she develops ! She’s definitely the udder I’m most excited about for next kidding season.
