👀 Be honest… What does your freezer look like right now?

Organized and labelled? 😍
Or is it more like “I know it’s in here somewhere!”😂

One thing I’ve learned from my years in quality control is that small habits can make a big difference.

When it comes to storing food:
📝 Date it
📦 Portion it
🔄 Use FIFO — First In, First Out
🌡️ Keep your freezer at 0°F (-18°C) or below

It’s not just about having a full freezer. It’s about knowing what you have, when you stored it, and what should be used first.

👉🏽 Quick question:
Do you label the food in your freezer with dates, or do you just rely on memory? 😂

Let’s go Beyond the Labels!

One simple food-storage habit I recommend:

👉🏽 Portion before you freeze.
Instead of repeatedly taking out a large container, thawing it, using some, and putting the rest back, divide it into smaller portions before freezing.

And here’s another simple tip: DATE YOUR CONTAINERS. 🗓️

Why?
Because it makes it easier to know what you have and use the older portions first — FIFO: First In, First Out.

Less waste. Better organization. Smarter food storage. ✅

Do you date your food before putting it in the freezer? 👀

It’s the little choices that nourish me from the inside out. ☕️🤎

My mornings usually begin with coffee — and a splash of Silk Almond Milk by . I love how creamy it makes my coffee, and knowing I’m getting calcium in my morning routine is an added bonus for supporting strong, healthy bones. 🌱🦴

For me, nourishing my morning isn’t about doing everything perfectly. It’s about making small choices that feel good and setting the tone for the day.

So, if you haven’t tried it yet, pick one up next time you’re at the grocery store and try it in your morning coffee. You might just find a new favourite. ☕️✨

What’s your must-have morning ritual?👇👇

🎒BACK-TO-SCHOOL SAFETY

As our children head back to school, we teach them their ABCs, pack their lunches, and remind them to do their homework.

But let’s also teach them something equally important: SAFETY. 🛡️

Here are 5 simple safety reminders for our children:

👋🏽 1. Wash your hands
Before eating, after using the washroom, and whenever your hands are dirty.

💧 2. Be careful with what you eat and drink
Don’t share food or drinks unnecessarily, and avoid eating anything that looks, smells, or tastes unusual.

🚸 3. Stay alert on the road
Use designated crossings, look both ways, and stay aware of your surroundings.

🚌 4. Practice transport safety
Whether walking, taking the bus, or being driven to school—follow the safety rules every time.

🗣️ 5. Speak up when something feels unsafe
Teach children that they should tell a trusted adult when they feel uncomfortable, threatened, or notice something dangerous.

🗣️ 6. Talk to them about checking food labels, for expiry/best-before dates.

Safety starts at home. ❤️

Parents, which safety lesson are you emphasizing with your children this school year? 👇🏽

Drop it in the comments. Let’s learn from one another.

🚨 ACETAMINOPHEN RECALL IN CANADA🇨🇦

⚠️ Check your medicine cabinet!

Health Canada has announced a Type I recall of one lot of Novo-Gesic Forte 500 mg (acetaminophen) because the tablets may contain phenolic resin or epoxy—foreign materials that, if ingested, may cause injury to the digestive system.

🔎 Here’s what you need to check:
Product: Novo-Gesic Forte 500 mg
DIN: 00482323
Lot: 100083040
Expiry: January 31, 2029

What should you do?

👉 Stop using the affected product immediately.

👉 Check the lot number and expiry date on your package.

👉 If you have the affected lot, return it to the pharmacy where you purchased it for replacement and proper disposal.

👉 If you're unsure whether your product is affected, contact your pharmacy.

👉 If you've used the affected product and have concerns about your health, contact your healthcare professional.

🔎 THE QUALITY LESSON

This is exactly why we say:

Don't just look at the product.
Look beyond the label.

A product recall is not simply about a product being “bad.” It is part of a quality and safety system designed to identify a potential problem; trace affected products and remove them from the market.

And that's why lot numbers, expiry dates, and traceability matter.

Before you take that medicine today, check your bottle. 👀

Wait! Before you see the word ethanol and assume it’s safe to drink… 👀

Let’s go Beyond the Labels!

Not all ethanol is created for the same purpose.

🍸 Food-grade ethanol is produced and purified for food and beverage applications.

🧪 Industrial ethanol? That’s intended for things like cleaning, solvents, fuel and manufacturing.

And here’s where it gets serious…

Some industrial ethanol is denatured—meaning substances may be added to make it unsuitable for consumption.

So please, don’t think:
‘It says ethanol, so I can drink it.’ 🚫

The product’s intended use, specifications and formulation matter.

And consuming unsuitable or denatured alcohol can cause serious poisoning, organ damage, loss of consciousness—and in severe cases, death.

So before you use or consume any ethanol-containing product…

READ THE LABEL.
CHECK THE INTENDED USE.
DON’T ASSUME.

Because when it comes to product safety…

The details matter.

And that’s why we go…
