At Pazo de Barrantes, they have pursued excellence tirelessly since 1511. It is the driving force behind their daily dedication and the result of the patience and know-how of a family and the team that stands beside it.
For years, they have enjoyed the wines at Pazo de Barrantes, the fruit of a terroir of extraordinary quality and a meticulous, balanced winemaking approach.
A respect and deep admiration for the Albariño variety led them to take a bold path: deciding to withdraw the wines from the market for two years in order to achieve the variety’s fullest expression, through careful research and meticulous work. All of this was supported by exhaustive work in the vineyard to improve grape quality and carry out an exclusive selection.
Wanting to give a more attention to ageing, incorporating a subtle period in acacia barrels and extending bottle maturation. Thus, the new Pazo de Barrantes was born— a project that first saw the light of day in 2019, reaffirming the winery’s commitment to the highest quality.
