The first Saturday of June celebrates, in the US and around the world, the joyful sparkle of wine in all its forms, and it is a perfect moment to share one of Moldova’s beautiful strengths: a deep, patient tradition of sparkling winemaking. From traditional method to tank and pét-nat, these wines reflect care, craftsmanship, and a true sense of place.

Today, Wine Treasures raises a glass to the sparkling wines of GOGU Winery and Crama Mircești: luminous bottles that carry a little piece of home, and a story we are proud to share in Switzerland ✨

Flowering in the vineyard 🌸

A brief and delicate moment in the vine’s life, flowering marks the transition from promise to possibility in Moldova’s vineyards. Almost unseen, the blossoms carry the potential of the season ahead.

If conditions are kind, each flower may become a grape, shaping the yield, the balance, and ultimately the character of the wine. This stage is especially sensitive to the weather: gentle warmth and calm conditions favour success, while wind or rain can leave a subtle but lasting imprint.

A quiet moment of anticipation, where nature begins to define the vintage.

Meet Tatiana, the person behind Wine Treasures

Hi, I am Tatiana, originally from Moldova, and wine has always been part of the way I stay connected to home.

What began as curiosity, sparked by a wine course back home, grew into a lasting appreciation for wine, and I later chose to turn that interest into Wine Treasures. With a background in law and diplomacy, I hold the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines, am pursuing the Diploma, and serve as a judge at international wine competitions.

Through Wine Treasures, I am delighted to share the excellence and authenticity of Moldova’s wines with wine lovers across borders 🍷

International Chardonnay Day 🍇

A celebration of one of the world’s most beloved grape varieties, and of its remarkable versatility, from sparkling wines to still expressions of elegance and finesse.

Today we raise a glass to GOGU Winery’s Méthode Traditionnelle Blanc Cuvée Brut Nature 2023, which brings together Chardonnay with Fetească Albă and Rhein Riesling.

Fresh and refined, with notes of white peach, jasmine and citrus zest, this is a sparkling wine to enjoy on special moments and everyday ones alike 🥂

Alongside renowned regions such as the Loire Valley and Marlborough, Moldova also produces Sauvignon Blanc of excellent quality and value: wines shaped by sunshine, freshness, and careful craftsmanship.
