Since the national power distribution company, SOCADEL, cannot satisfy the electricity demands of Cameroonians, the government is finding an alternative in solar energy.

Between July 6–14 and July 15–23, the Ministry of Water and Energy in partnership Organized in partnership with the International Solar Alliance (ISA) will train 20 Cameroonian for free during the two seminars, each lasting eight days.

The training will focus on rooftop solar photovoltaic systems, solar mini-grids, and water pumping systems.

It will take place at the incubation and training center for solar technologies monitoring and analysis, known as STAR-C (Solar Technology Application and Resource Center), in Bastos.

The training aims to strengthen the technical skills of solar photovoltaic system installers, promote the use of renewable energy in Cameroon, and contribute to the development of qualified local expertise.

"So, if you are a technician, engineering student, lecturer, or engineer in the field of renewable energy or any equivalent field, this is your chance to apply," said Minister Gaston Eloundou Essomba.

Interested applicants are invited to fill out the application form available at the following address: https://buff.ly/8ASLShC and attach the following documents: a letter of motivation addressed to the Minister of Water Resources and Energy, a copy of the applicant's CV indicating their academic background, and a copy of the most relevant diploma or certificate related to this training.

An alleged examination malpractice case has shaken the education sector in Bamenda. According to information received by our newsroom, the Vice Principal in charge of discipline (Senior Discipline Master) at City College of Commerce, Mankon, was arrested by police after reportedly being found in possession of what is believed to have been a GCE examination paper hours before it was scheduled to be written.

According to preliminary reports, the suspect allegedly attempted to offer the exam paper to several candidates. A GCE official, who was alerted to the situation, is said to have verified the document and confirmed that it matched the examination scheduled for that afternoon. Police officers were immediately called to the scene.

The same sources claim that during the investigation, the suspect disclosed the existence of a WhatsApp group through which several individuals allegedly shared examination papers before they were officially administered. Investigators are expected to use this information to identify other people who may have been involved in the network.

The incident comes despite measures already taken by the authorities, including the rescheduling of some GCE examinations, to strengthen exam security and curb malpractice.

The main difference between pwm solar charge controller and mppt solar charge controller is that, the mppt solar charge controller are more efficient. Mppt solar charge controller has 30% more efficient in charge. What size if charge controller do i need for a 1000watts Solar Panel ? You take the total watts of the solar array divided by the voltage of the battery bank. That will give you output current of the charge controller. For example, a 1000watts solar array divided by 24volts battery bank is equal to 41.6A .
