Valentine Nguele is the first-ever female coach of the Indomitable Lionesses.
She took a team that could not even qualify for the 2026 WAFCON and only came to the tournament because of FIFA ranking after CAF expanded the tournament.
Her team had no Ajara who carried the previous teams;
She built around youthful energy with a pinch of experience;
Before her, Cameroon had lost 5 previous knockout matches to Nigeria, conceding 17 and scoring only 1;
Before her, Cameroon had never eliminated Nigeria from the WAFCON, and Nigeria had never exited the competition before the semis;

She has now beaten 10-time champs Nigeria, and qualified for the FIFA Women's World Cup.

Where men have fallen, she has conquered!

If Cameroon wins this WAFCON (which will be the first in the country's history), build a monument in honour of Valentine Nguele!
