🏆 Yunnan does it again – another GOLD at the World Beer Awards 2026 in London!

Our Make Her Smile Lychee Ale (妃子笑荔枝艾尔) just took home :

🥇 GOLD in the Flavoured Beer – Fruit & Vegetable category
🇨🇳 Country Winner – China
This is our second gold medal at this year‘s competition – after Summer Solstice, our lychee ale now gets its moment to shine ✨ And the competition was fierce : breweries from Brazil, Canada, Belgium, France and more were in the running. But our lychee ale came out on top !

What‘s ”Make Her Smile“ all about ? 😏

Named after the famous ”Fei Zi Xiao“ lychee variety, this beer is made to put a smile on your face – and on the face of the one you love.

Style : Lychee Ale (荔枝艾尔)
ABV : 4.2% – light and refreshing
IBU : 5.4 – barely any bitterness, sweet but balanced
Tasting notes :

👀 Appearance : Pale golden, slightly hazy, with a subtle pink hue
👃 Aroma : Fresh lychee, bread, grain, with a hint of natural green notes
👅 Palate : Lychee sweetness from start to finish, with hints of grape and strawberry. A moderately dry finish keeps it from being cloying.
In short : sweet but not too sweet, fruity but refreshing – the perfect beer for a summer afternoon or a laid-back evening with friends. And at 4.2%, you can have more than one 😉

Every Tuesday, we’re doing something a little… unexpected.

🌮 We took the classic taco.
🌾 And swapped the corn tortilla for shao erkuai – a grilled sticky rice cake from Yunnan.

It‘s crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, with a subtle roasted rice aroma that balances out the bold fillings.

Two fillings, both Yunnan-inspired :

🔥 Smoked Chili Pork – rich, smoky, slightly spicy. The rice cake soaks up all that juicy fat. Dangerous in the best way.

🥬 Pickled Cabbage Beef – tangy, savory, ridiculously appetizing. The fermentation cuts through the richness like a pro.

One of each, or two of the same – your call.

🍺 Comes with any pint of our craft beer. Three to choose from :

– Smooth Talker (Pilsner) : crisp, clean, crushable.
– Chaba Wheat (Belgian Wit) : classic coriander & orange peel, always reliable.
– RuMa (Sichuan-style Belgian Wheat) : a subtle tingle of Sichuan pepper on the finish. East meets West in your glass.

Our Chef Leo (张师傅) just dropped his latest creation:
「Fire-Roasted Passion Fruit Ribs」 🔥

This isn’t some frozen pre-made situation. It‘s made fresh to order, so it takes about 20–25 minutes — but trust me, it’s worth every second.

Here‘s what you’re getting:

🥩 The ribs
Crispy on the outside, so tender they literally fall off the bone. No sticky-sweet glaze here — it‘s a American-style roast with a fusion twist. Pure meat flavor, no shortcuts.

🌽 The sides

Grilled corn
Crispy pink radish slices (so aesthetic)
Red chilis + fresh rosemary (for that ✨ look)
🥭 The star of the show — Passion Fruit Dip
