Lots of work on the homestead over the weekend! Whew, we are tired.. Now to relax before a new week starts. 😌

Next week we will be helping out at the local fairgrounds to prep for the upcoming fair, yay! We are so excited and can hardly wait for fair to start. 🤩💛

The long waited arrival of MeadowMist babies Winona and Harmony is finally over! They arrived about a week ago. 😍🥳

Though we trust the breeder, the stress of moving can be hard on animals and so they are currently in a short stay in quarantine. I do not have any current photos of these cuties, but will soon!

Thank you MeadowMist Nigerians for giving us the opportunity to own and show some of your lovely lines! 🥰

It’s that time of year again, work, work, work on the homestead! We have finished first cutting for our hay and while we wait on second cutting, there’s still plenty to do.

Any guesses as to what we are up to? If you know, no cheating! 😁

Quail! We recently had a friend ask if we could hatch some quail for them. We have never hatched quail before, but were up for the task.

Into the incubator they went and now they’re hatched! They are headed back to their home this evening. These little stinkers have thrown me for a loop, though. Quail are quite a bit different than chickens and let me tell you, they are FAST and do not want to be touched!

What an experience! Happy trails, little guys. After a nap of course.. 😴🥰
