It was so lovely to hang out with Sunghee & Abhinav from and hear how it all began ☕️ 🧡
From working with women coffee farmers who were doing the labour but going unseen, to building hands-on training, community, and access to markets, and this year hosting the fifth annual - Bean Voyage’s goal is to create pathways for women coffee producers to not just survive, but thrive.
Mayra Solis was the first of 3 coffees we sourced through Bean Voyage this year. Produced by Doña Mayra Solís and her 3 children at the family farm Alto El V***r in Costa Rica, the family took control of their future by building their own micro-mill and developing their own roasted coffee brand, adding value at every step.
Through Bean Voyage, Mayra and her daughters deepened their knowledge of quality, processing, and sustainable farming - turning coffee into something more than livelihood: a shared family project and a vision for the future.
