From the British countryside to busy Berlin - Tim, who’s been living here for quite some years now joined tryst in the late summer of last year.
There’s a good chance your coffee order was packed by himself - always with a lot of care, focus and heart behind it! 📦
But it doesn’t end there:
From riding every TRYST Express across Berlin by cargo bike and lately also spending more and more time at the roaster since the beginning of the year he‘s covering important parts in our day to day business at the roastery. 🚲

We‘re so grateful to have him as part of tryst!

Cupping at the roastery.
 Why do we need cupping:
Checking roast profiles, comparing batches and tasting through new coffees that might become part of upcoming releases.

This is the more quiet part of our work but one of the most important ones! Some days cupping is about small adjustments about current roasts, other days we try samples from importeurs and a coffee stands out immediately. ☕️

A lot of what ends up in your cup starts right here - spoon by spoon, cup by cup. From cupping the samples to the first roasts to regular quality control on the current taste.

Packing days at TRYST.
 
Boxes building up, labels printing, coffee moving out into the world 🌍
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays usually look a lot like this around here -it’s a steady rhythm of packing, sealing, stacking and sending.
 We try to get every order out as quickly and reliable as possible, while still giving every package the same care and attention from start to finish. 📦

Das DONDI ist ein kulinarisches Juwel in Würzburg und macht die besten Sandwich. Punkt. Es gibt eine wunderbar offene Atmosphäre samt Küche und tollem Team. Die feinsten Kreationen mit mehr als bewusster Herstellung. Es gibt außerdem Eventtage wie z.B. die Soul Sundays mit Sweet Treats und Pastries, bei denen auch die Siebträgeaachine mit unseren feinen Bohnen angeschmissen wird. Im day to day business wird wechselnd unser Filter-Kaffee aus der Moccamaster ausgeschenkt. Auf allen Ebenen eine traumhafte leckere experience!

Carsten, the person behind our visual language. He makes sure everything you see carries the same intention as what you taste in the cup. He is the mind behind TRYSTs visual identity.👨🏼‍🎨

Karl, the person who keeps everything running behind the scenes. He works where things are less visible but is the quiet structure that holds it all together: from logistics over numbers to green coffee sourcing and everything inbetween. 🧑🏽‍💻

No matter the role they‘re always ready to jump into the daily flow of the roastery wherever needed, we all together in this.
Tryst is team. 🫂

No wonder it got second place in last year’s cold brew cup and was by faaar the peoples favourites first place ☀️

Our monthly cargo bike delivery is coming up.

This FRIDAY 24th of April, we’ll be delivering fresh coffee to our Berlin based customers by cargo bike - straight from the roastery to your door. 🚲
